Waving if someone lets you pass in your car. Same with table manners and knowing how to eat. Fast food has a lot to answer for with eating food with your fingers rather than on a plate with a knife and fork. My daughters boyfriend eats like a pig and slaps his chops all the way through a meal, right puts me off it does. Tosser. I don't care how you shake my hand I look at the company you keep and your outlook on subjects which touch on my morals to decide how you are. For what it's worth though job interviews and family friends n introductions ill shake their hand. If im at say a party or gathering ill just nod my head and say alright. Have had people put their hand out n admittly I had a few beers but simply said I ain't gonna shake your hand I don't know you well enough. They probably think I'm abit of a wanker for it but then I don't tend to mix outside my circle at gatherings anyway so won't talk to strangers. Funny thing is I don't really class a hand shake as meaning f**k all. Got mates and we wouldn't shake hands or have a hug lol just a simple good to see ya and they know. You are a youngster though a lot of todays youngsters dont have the same values as generations before them..........if someone offered me their hand and i refused id feel humiliated....id feel like he,s got one over on me..............we was brought up to value the handshake in a similar way that the army boys value a salute......you are saying i respect you but i dont fear you...............to duck out of a handshake is just unthinkable its about how you carry yourself..........sadly in todays times a lot of youngsters dont really care how they carry themself. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

A good handshake from a fella that looks at his feet is worthless ... I have refused dozens of handshakes in shit hole countries and the do gooders tell you that you have offended them ... So fair play I think well you have just taken a shit in the middle of the road scraped your arse off with your bare fingers and then rubbed your hand in the dusty ground to clean them ... so I can shake your hand and risk dying of a million different diseases or risk offending you ...
