bird 10,014 Posted December 2, 2013 Report Share Posted December 2, 2013 finished work early 50 hurt my back, but up to then was always in full time heavy brewery work, even tried to work with it drugged up on pain killers for 18 months, but pain to much the back won. So go out with the dogs much as i can, as long as( iam fit enough) i will try to keep going, but of late getting few arthritis probs, so i have been thinking of packing up the last few months and get out of hunting for good, been in the game near 30 years, so had good run Quote Link to post

So go out with the dogs much as i can, as long as( iam fit enough) i will try to keep going, but of late getting few arthritis probs, so i have been thinking of packing up the last few months and get out of hunting for good, been in the game near 30 years, so had good run ray the last week on my job was murder with the arthritis my hands kept swelling up glad it finnished when it did so iv got a weeks rest now and start back on monday Quote Link to post

courseadog 231 Posted December 2, 2013 Report Share Posted December 2, 2013 as you get older and the kids are independant "ish" then priorities change, i no longer chase money. as quality of life has become far more important than trying to keep up with the jones`s, as long as the basics are covered then feck the rest, your only here once so enjoy it while you can, as the saying goes "You're a long time dead"That's how I c it paulus I'm self employed carpenter 4 kids 4 dogs pigs chickens ferrets since the baby's were born I decided to Work part time Friday as long as we got enough for a a good quality of life that's good enough for us My misses is spot on Oh yeh I live in a council house snd I don't give a f**k for a mortgage 1 Quote Link to post
