SLIPUM88 39
I've got a few companies I do contract work for and I normally do a few weeks here, and a few weeks there. The company I'm working at at the moment is my least favourite. I don't like their work ethic or the people there particularly. I started there a couple of weeks ago (it's the 4th stint I've done for them) and it was supposed to be one week. Then it changed to two. Now I'm on my third week there. Friday, the boss took me to one side and asked if I'd work there till the end of October. I said that was fine. Then he asked if I'd work there till next Summer as he had a few new things going on. I said I'd think about it over the weekend and let him know today. I decided if I was going to work there for that long, I'd really up my rate so if he agreed, I'd at least get a really good wage out of it. This morning, I gave him my new price, quoting way over what I thought he'd pay, thinking he'd negotiate me down a bit or refuse, but he just agreed on the spot. He's also paying me 22 days holiday pro-rata and Bank Holidays. Now I feel gutted that firstly I should have asked for even more money and secondly I'm going to be stuck in a job I'm not keen on for a few months. I know it's better than the alternative of no work, but I've got that nagging feeling inside now. Ffs I wish I had your problems be thankfull for what you got top dollar and work for a year some people will moan at everything your lucky and don't deserve it nob

I want the work, but I'm not keen on the place, so upped my price a bit and he accepted, which is good. But as i said before, if you don't have to haggle, you wonder if you priced it wrong.
