scone in the beginning was fab, if not the best it was certainly up there but slowly the prices have creeped up the double glazing type stalls have increased and the kiddie on country folk are taking over, no doubt there are still some good things / stalls/ events there but its a big competitive world out there, entry, parking and fuel would cost me about £100, a burger or three a few beers or coffees and it quickly gets out of hand, i'd need to get a lot of bargains to make that up, as it happened we had a cracking family barbie yesterday a few beers loads of craic and andy murray won, i hope all that went to scone had as good a day

spoke to your old man at a show once missed the whole f--king show never again he can talk lol

Was a great day out as usual at the Scottish game fair, not the busiest I've seen this terrier show but a good well organised show, those bleating about the dog show entry should try supporting these

Your right mate.......it was bugging me so i phoned and its £2 for parking. Whoever it was that told me is one slavering c**t...

It was noticeably quieter folk are no willing to pay out that sort of money , the clue was about 11.30 as i was trying to get in folk going out where shaking there heads , we where round it twice spoke to mates at the terrier ring and home for 4 pm . Ive been to the Midlands and the Great Yorkshire a few times and no where have i been charged to park as well as buy a ticket to get in .I spoke to a mate on a stall and he said its defiantly smaller they asked us to bulk out the stall  . maybe it was because it was a good day and Murray was playing tennis but i wouldn't mind seeing the figures for that show

Was a great weekend, made better by the weather.

And yes it is expensive, but for what they put on and the hard work it takes to put the show on I think it is good value for a day out.

Would you rather it was £5 to get in, got rid of the arena and just had stalls and advertising? :hmm:

Was very busy considering everyone is skint at the moment.

Yes the terrier show will be shite, but I've never been to a terrier show and came away thinking 'what a great day' they have all been going down hill for years.

All the terrier show at scone does is good publicity for working terriers to the general public who wouldn't have a fooking clue about the sport and now when seeing a lad walking across a field with a spade and a dog might think twice before lifting the phone.

Each to their own, a day out which keeps the whole family occupied from start to finnish is never going to be cheap.

If you want cheap just buy them an x box or something and let them sit inside without seeing all the different aspects of fieldsports/conservation etc

Just my opinion.

Enjoyed it on sat.... Great weather and food. Spoke to lots of people and had a right laugh at the beer tent.

Only downside is say was how slow the service was at the beer tent, 20 min cues cause they never had enough folk working. And £4 for a tin of warm tennets is f***ing ridiculous.

Atleast RM never let me down by turning up looking like David Hasselhoffs retarded love child..... Pmsl..;-)
