jimster68 123 Posted June 10, 2013 Report Share Posted June 10, 2013 i think its only right that responsible breeders charge a fee (no more than a tenner)to people they dont know ,ive bred a litter of kits this year ,a few will be going to friends for nothing ,a few i will keep myself for the coming season . the only reason i would charge strangers ,is a friend of mine advertised some kits for free and the people who came and got them ,SOLD THEM FOR A TENNER EACH . its the first litter i have bred for years both parents have worked weekly over the winter months, if strangers dont want to pay up to a tenner each then they dont really want them that much ,i would happily pay a fair price for something i really wanted out of tried and tested stock...........jim Quote Link to post

Why should he if he can just buy another one for say a fiver. If he gets fed up with it ,he can just dump it. Charge more and most people will look after them. Sorry for all the genuine ferreters out there, but we all know there's alot of cowboys out there. Spot on I charge a tenner, but when its the boys I know well and see the stock regularly I don't ask for anything. Quote Link to post

Up to 8 weeks surely? then they go to new homes? people I know that sell kits in the London area never seem to be stuck with them for long and they always fetch about £35 a kit! there is a well known west London pet shop that charges, I kid you not, £200 for 8 week old kits and £70 for adults.
