Training A Dogs Ears To Stay Down?

Ok firstly I have nothing to do with this so don't knock me but my ex's aunt who breeds smooth collie show dogs has asked for tips on how to get one of her dogs ears to flop. Apparently us "terrier boys" know better than most? Guessing its a show dog thing? Well I haven't a clue but I said I'd ask. Any help appreciated

Now if we're voting for the best answer: I like the idea of tying a brick to each ear, though of course they may end up twice as long as before and then there'd be a problem with the dog tripping over them.

put them in a tight burrow and there ears will just stay down ,so get her out for a dig ,the 13ft digs are the best to keep the ears down
