LaraCroft 863
I'm sure Lara swallows ) I'm sure she is far too busy trapping rats in the garden, trying to work out if her camera has a "sports" mode that will stop her pics looking like Paulus took them, and trying to outwit the chickens, in the Battle for the Vegetable Garden Other than that, I am sure she couldn't possibly comment ! Outlaw Pete 2,224
if only all africans found it so hard coming here.............. Yes. Okay. That made me roar with laughter. Only; It does sort of back fire when some smart arse with a grip comes along and points out that the swallows you see coming in from Africa were actually hatched and raised in the British Isles. They're effectively Brit's coming back from holiday

navman 126
Spotted my first one last night (14 April) been looking hard for them for last few days, I get a buzz out of spotting the first ones to arrive! They are here in small numbers in different parts of the country but this recent cold spell must have delayed them. I always monitor their arrival and its usually early April although the last two years it was around the end of march, beating my 7th April record ! As soon as I see them arrive it puts me in a different mood, summertime now, end of hunting rest time for dogs, just keeping fitness levels up and training time for young ones, and dare I say it time for getting away in my caravan !! tsteve9999 456
There were 20 or 30 flying over a sewage works that borders one of my permissions today, but come summer there will be hundreds, For the last couple of years I've seen a couple of small hawks catching them that someone has told me are Hobbys. To be honest I wouldn't know how to distinguish one hawk from another, but I do love to spend a couple of hours on a nice sunny afternoon watching them, both sets of birds seem well matched against each other.,

mushroom 14,144
They're here in Barca now Only yesterday I was saying to the mrs "look the swallows have arrived" beautiful birds they are unfortunately here you rarely see the low flying acrobatics, normally they fly above the buildings but you can't mistake their sound, shape or flying style.
