His books were the only ones of their kind in the seventies and eighties, and I must have owned and read them all. They were entertaining and to an impressionable teenager the 'facts' were often dige

My son was the Entry Clearance Officer at the British Cosulate in Saudi, and was tasked with implementing biometric passports in embassies around the world.

He loved South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and other countries he went to , but hated every moment he was in India !

He got Delhi Belly badly, hated the filth, the beggars, the caste system, and vowed never to go there again, even if it cost him his job.

He lived in Leicester when he was at boarding school, so I thought India wouldn't faze him ! ? !

Cheers.

There's some footage online somewhere, a bull Terrier pulling a big monitor out of what looks like a kitchen in Thailand, the monitor looks around 4 foot, the dog is into it, proper fight.

Even if the dog wins it loses.

I used to love catching grass snakes and adders as a kid ,take them home keep them few weeks then release them ,I've kept few snakes over the yrs and even started to be mentored to keep venomous types but family life put stop to that ,I like the fast Asian rat snakes as they got attitude ,

Just been out looking to see if there were any turtles along the barriers, didn't see any, but saw an Eastern ribbonsnake near home.
