forest of dean redneck 12,021 Posted July 10, 2011 Report Share Posted July 10, 2011 well im dorset born,fond memories growing up there in late 70,s through to the 90,s. had 6 years in the forest of dean up til last year which was pleasant. went back to dorset for 10 months and its too overcrowded now ive visted brimingham and epping and croydon and all i can say is the places that stick in my mind most is the shetland isles,mull,kilda etc and when i was 5 i holidayed at carrbridge in north scotland and we toured round loch ness,fort william etc seen curlews and chicks on the moors etc. so i would say scotland and its islands. BORDERSCOT 3,816 Posted July 10, 2011 Report Share Posted July 10, 2011 The hills south of Hawick in the Scottish Borders, Wyndburgh, Maiden Paps, The Leap, Great Moor, Caldcleuch Head, Penchrise Pen and Skelfhill Pen the summit of any of those on a good clear day is hard to beat. the_stig 6,614 Posted July 10, 2011 Report Share Posted July 10, 2011 just spent a week on the lincs coast -- some nice spots round thr with nice open views ... camped on a farm and the views whr stunning .. the place was over run with rabbits ,hare, pheasant , a fox used to cross the field every night and a barn owl hunt the hedgerow .. cracking beach aswell ..and some decent fishing Quote Link to post Share on other sites
