the scottish champion of champions 2013 takes place on sunday the 29th september 2013, place, the volunteer park, hawick, 12.00pm sharp, TD9 0EL full terrier,lurcher, working dog show, to follow championship, childrens class, and a class for the hunting life members, judge will be the previous years winner theres also a full schedule of racing, both terriers and lurchers NO MUZZLE ------- NO RACING THERE WILL BE FOOD AND DRINK ON SALE ALL DAY LETS MAKE THE LAST SHOW IN SCOTLAND SOMETHING TO REMEMBER.

Hi lads Im doing a sponsored climb up Ben nevis with alfie (my trainee springer gundog) to raise funds for Springer Rescue for Scotland all of us with working dogs would do anything for them ..but what about the workers who are unfortunately through no fault of there own are left without a family,, springer rescue for scotland gives these dogs a 2nd chance of a happy ending ..so next year myself and alfie are doing a team climb along with others up nevis to raise some well needed cash for this charity.. the event is 14th june 2014 im gonna be doing some sort of diary/blog from this weekend fo

A brilliant FIVE NATIONS LURCHER CHAMPIONSHIP at the Irish Game & Country Fair at Birr Castle where Fiona Devlin's Maverick defended his title and qualifies again for 2014. 3. A fantastic FIVE NATIONS TERRIER CHAMPIONSHIP at the Irish Game & Country Fair at Birr Castle where Dodge a top English terrier won against very strong opposition. just a thought, to anyone travelling to these 2 great shows,( yes i will be), to race their lurchers, over the last 2 years i have seen a huge number of purebred greyhounds racing as lurchers, definately not fair on TRUE lurcher owners, these people who have" you know who you are" bred greyhounds to primarily race cross bred dogs, you should be ashamed of yourselves, to pass on these dogs without tattoe's, as lurchers, is wrong, i hope you can all be very happy to decieve and cheat, theres greyhounds coming as far as norfolk to ireland , that will be travelling to race, so be warned well in ad

had a cracking day at the lowther show today with the terriers. Got 2nd with patterdale dog 2nd with patterdale bitch and second in terrier pairs, then to top it all off ma son came third in the child handler section. a few light showers but nothing that spoilt the atmosphere of the day only downfall was the £4 a pint lol. A well arranged show with loads to see and do will defo be back next year.

Saturday 20th July 13 Barrontop Fun Farm are hosting a Lurcher,Terrier and Whippet Dog Show and Raceday on Saturday the 20th July2013 . All the usual classes, lovely Trophys, and Cash Prizes for each of the Overall winners. A donation will be made to the Foyle Hospice from the proceeds of this show.
