There is a group of wolves in South Africa which were imported for use in a government cross breeding program. The theory was to create a better kind of attack dog for hunting Angolan guerrillas during the bush wars of the 1980s. http://www.wolfsongalaska.org/SAfrika_man_hunters Funnily enough the program was a failure. The hybrids were untrainable.

Funnily enough I was in training with one who was later awarded the Military Cross for valour in Afghanistan . http://m.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/1555959.soldier_wounded_in_iraq_gets_first_military_cross/ I also served under command of another Muslim in Afghanistan in 2008. This one was awarded a Joint Commanders Commendation for his work in Iraq.

Should Fireworks Be Banned ............ ?
unlacedgecko replied to Blackbriar's topic in General Talk
The IRA used to use the noise of fireworks to disguise the sound of weapons fire when zeroing. -
did you not write a book on the strong dogs of ireland ? No, my company published a book of historical photos. I personally do not need, or agree, that there is a place for 'draw dogs' in today's terrierwork. I just don't. But, like I say, that's just my personal opinion. I agree that strongdogs in the wrong hands can be bad for terrierwork in todays day and age, but i wouldnt say using a strong dog means you have any less respect for the quarry you hunt and i stress that im talking about sensible geniune dog men not macho men standing at a dig with a pair of runners and a staff Whats t

"wilf" My New Plummer Pup
unlacedgecko replied to wirral countryman's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I take a lot of lads to help me over a season and he is spoilt by the game that's put in front of him, you would pay a lot of money to go on the kind of land he comes on with me, I have flown hawks all my life and Charlies "RUBY" is the best I've seen for a harriss, in the course of a day he will help me with terrierwork ,ferreting, shooting and general pest control then we fly the hawk to finish, WM You are a lucky man and I envy you your lifestyle. I can't imagine it was easy to work your way into such a position. Good luck with the new litter. -

I'm really good thanks mate, a lot better than I was. Looking forward to the big day. Should be a hell of a party. Be a little strange seeing all my different worlds in the same room but be great craic I am sure. Devastated I'm missing this trip. I may well get myself along for the next one. Thinking of looking at a dog tomorrow and considering applying for a gun licence in the new year. How's you and yours?

Sex = feeling of euphoria caused by receptors in the brain reacting with chemicals. Drugs = feeling of euphoria caused by receptors in the brain reacting with chemicals. Hypocrisy is my only vice. All feelings of euphoria are caused by chemicals reacting with receptors in the brain. Some of those chemicals are naturally produced within the body (hoones etc) and some can be compounds which are absorbed into the body through stomach, lungs or injecting directly into the bloodstream.

You dont have to have anything other than rabies to travel. If the microchip has stopped working put a claim in to the company, they will pay to have a new one implanted.

I don't mind. I have many other ways of getting pleasure out of life. Sex being one of the main ways...making money is becoming a close 2nd.

Also I work a lot. With random drug and alcohol testing, I have little opportunity for even a beer.

Wrackedy brains and just can't get my head around why anyone would want to poison their bodies with that foreign rubbish. Like anyone, my views are shaped by my experience. I think my nationalism/racism plays a large part as well.

Just a tablet mate.

If she only got three months there is more to this than you stated do you have a link? TC Probs about right given a good lawyer and a sympathetic judge. The judiciary would have seen her drug use as a mitigating factor rather than an additional crime.

.....& probably one of many reasons why they can still dig legally today..... That was the reason for my question. I remember someone (possibly Liam Delany) saying that the countries which do not have a tradition of draw dogs (Norway, France, Germany, Hungary etc) are still able to legally dig badger today. Where as those countries which have previously used draw dogs (UK, Ireland) are now not able to dig badger at all. It is the correlation between the use of draw dogs and the subsequent banning of badger digging which I was interested in exploring. I was seeking confirma

Has there ever been a tradition of draw dogs in France?

Ask them why they would want to pollute their bodies with that foreign poison? Try and tap into their own sense of nationalism and pride - only the mentally weak need to use drugs.

I haven't seen the news, so don't know which units are going, but RAF Regiment and 2RTR used to be trained in CBRN warfare. That's who I would reach for. Grave digging was a Pioneer task, but then the government disbanded the whole Regiment about 4 weeks ago...
