    I may have the perfect day coming your way soon Jim.. its a little job requiring a mass attack for one day only. Ferrets,dogs,long nets and purse nets. lots of hedges and spinneys. I shall arrange it and we can have a THL ferreting meet..hopefully get young Rew to come and do some filming. is that a job with long nets purse nets trawler nets dogs and ferrets wouldn't waste the diesel even if I banged me head selling the catch ,,, count me out sounds dead boring lol

    I cooked cuttle fish twice while away it realy is good gear hard to fk up , olive oil bay leaves n garlic throw some chopped parsley on at the end real tender mate good luck

    great account marshman I happened to drop in on an old hunt terrierman this afternoon after a mornings ferreting , listened to his old tales of terriers and his trips after coypu from years back , he then asked me to bolt some rabbits with me ferrets so he can barrel em not my thing but I couldn't say no

    You might be right Jim. I don't really class myself as a ferreter. I'm a lurcher man. The ferrets are only here to provide a little daytime sport for the dogs. I've only ever been ferreting twice to get big numbers and not took the dogs. The rest of the time it's just to bolt the odd one for the dogs. If last day in august is too early for that then so be it, shoot me down now, I'm a summer hunter. Lol well done for getting out and having a bit of fun with the kids ferret and lurchers
