For every good, responsible owner, unfortunately - and the number of dogs across both sites demonstrate this - there are a dozen irresponsible. Rescues would like to see a reduction in these numbers. The numbers of dogs in rescue. Neutering is the only sure fire way to positively work towards this. Plus, it does help against theft. Something no one wants. Look through the site and see the number of dogs left dumped in horrid conditions. Ran ragged and then dumped. One mans junk is another mans treasure. They are doing themselves lots of favours. The fact these pups have appeared in rescue is all the cause they need. If there was a simple test for commitment or genuine, how simple life would be.

The RSPCA are a charity, nothing more. Any charity that wanted to take it upon themselves could act in the same manner. In fact, some do, but with out police style uniforms or bully tactics. Many assume the ROYAL part of their acronym gives them special privileges, but it doesn't. Many think the RSPCA have a right to enter property, to force the hand over of animals, but they don't. And what are you doing to begin/allow behaviour like that in a 5 month old pup. I have to keep repeating 5 months, just 5 months old You are in over your head. Save him now. Stop being selfish, rehome to someone that can handle him. If you can't handle him at 5 months, then you certainly won't as he ages and allow these problems to grow with him. Maybe one of these would better suit....

Would love to see what aggression you think this pup is showing at just 5 months of age. The mind boggles. And PTS suggestions - you guys crack me up. And if all else fails, smack it one!! Love it. Unfortunately too far away to offer help, but you need some before you totally ruin his future in every way. You say you are doing your best, which is obviously failing. If you want to do right by him, get help from someone who can come to your home and see the problems, or re home to someone that knows what they are doing.

I wouldn't say 'awash' in fact they are very much a minority.. there's a lot of good lurcher people attending the shows and this one was a good, well run, enjoyable event.. 'There's a bad apple in every bunch' Very much so. It has a great atmosphere and great camaraderie even through the tough competition. Thoroughly enjoyed it. -

Had a fab weekend, doing the Saturday and the Sunday. No dog to race in the coursing or straight racing, but we did manage a 3rd place in the best bull x class -
Have a suspicion he's a gypos dog, we have a couple of camps close by. But you never know.....
