  1. Makes sense. If I were a fox I think that I'd always go for the easy option. No need to waste time unsuccessfully hunting rabbits when there is easier game on offer (like pheasant or partridge)
  2. What is in your current 18 month pup?
  3. My young whippet is 2 and a half - sometimes he vocks his leg but sometimes he doesn't. Still see him pissing on his own feet sometimes
  4. The rest will do her good pal because she will come back more enthusiastic
  5. Tend to agree with you actually. It's £20 to get in and the stalls aren't selling anything cheaper. Is good for a few beers and banter etc but I did leave feeling slightly @rse raped
  6. Midland Game Fair this weekend. Anyone gonna be there?
  7. Great looking pup pal Can't beat a good Whippet ??
  8. Just feed mine normal meal in the morning and then feed them after we get back from lamping (normal food).
  9. Yeah - my last pup used to try and pin them down with his feet at first. Soon learned to use his mouth though. And now his strike is deadly (only one year later). Didn't take him long to grow out of it. Yours will learn I'm sure.
  10. I agree with this. She's a tall lurcher at the end of the day and will hopefully be involved in many hunting trips with you in the future. If you want a scientific answer then a DNA test is the way forward
  11. As often and for as long as you can the more attention you give them just now will pay off later Would you say that handling for 10 mins per day with 30 mins play time outside of the cage will serve me well?
  12. How often should I handle them and how long should I have them out of the cage for play time?
  13. Hi guys. Finally got myself two of this years working ferrets. These are my first ferrets that I've owned myself and although I've been ferreting before I have never 'brought on' any young ferrets. Can you lot help me with any advice? Simply lovely BBB
  14. Hi mate. There is no public land where you can hunt in the UK so you need permission to hunt. Best thing that you can do is network and meet as many farmers, gamekeepers & landowners as possible. Best thing that I did to network was join a local shoot. That's my top tip
  15. My father in law tells me that he was talking to a woman who had 5 pedigree whippets who regularly go beating. I couldn't imagine my whippet being any good for beating though if I'm honest
