  1. Both of mine are black, a greyhound and a rough lurcher. They definately sunbathe, especially the greyhound. But ask her to walk up to the shops in the mid day sun and she looks like I've beaten her with a big stick - all woe-is-me If I have to walk them in the heat of the day I take them through a path that is nice and shady, to a place where they can get into the water for a bit. The pup gets very hot but wouldn't take much notice if I didn't force her to take things easy.
  2. Read this last night with my step daughter looking over my shoulder and we both bust out laughing Excellent story, I would've bought a ticket to watch that Well done! Get 'em any way you can
  3. Thanks for the nice comments you guys I was proud of the kids today and we had a grand time. All have full bellies, are squeaky clean and fast asleep Just the way I like 'em. And cúagusgiorraí, that is the mental one of the three. She launches herself off anything she can climb I'm sure she's got rubber suckers on her fingertips for climbing and built-in springs for leaping. Ooooh eerrrr very funny. Obviously my sight hasn't been vastly improved .... see you again next week
  4. PMSL ... you are such a shit disturber Nevermind, Cam's wellies would be too big for Snoop anyway
  5. Sorry to bore you all again Today was the first time I took the kids out to specifically look for bunnies, and we had a great time. It was raining when we set off but I just kitted them out in their gear and there were no complaints. We only had a couple of short runs and didn't catch anything .... but I got to show the kids where the sets are, what bunny poo looks like, how to walk quietly and to stand still and listen They were pretty excited by the whole affair. I'd packed a lunch but it was chucking down with rain, so .... we stopped under the motorway for our picnic After
  6. Very very funny .... kids kept asking me why I was laughing ....
  7. i be round at 8 lurchergirl with the wine . in the mood for lurrrvveee Something tells me Snoopdog wouldn't be too impressed if you turned up and spoiled our evening BRB Unless you fancy a bit of lurve with one of the dogs
  8. Get her on here http://www.lurcherlink.org/lsuk/ And Dogslost. Good luck, hope she's found safe.
  9. Me? Paranoid? I'm not the one on here being someone I'm not, "undercover" as you put it :secret: that's you remember? And you're the one who went all ape on me when I didn't immediately reply to you. No hard feelings tho, as you say

  13. Well I'm rather a novice at raw feeding ... I've only been doing it for about a year now. But I will say this: my 8 month old pup has always had raw, she is bright, alert, happy, clever and growing at an alarming rate. She eats tripe, chicken, beef, fish, lamb, rabbit and the odd bowl of Petitts Working Dog once or twice a week, to which I add veg. I give her one capsule of Evening Primrose oil every morning. She also gets kidney, heart or liver once a week, plus a couple of raw eggs in the shell. My 2 year old greyhound gets the same. They're both thriving. I've worked with and lived with dog
  14. Good man scent!!!! Keep it up
  15. In my younger days (talking teens here) drink made me rather ... unpleasant. I had a bit of a rep for getting into fights, with just about anybody I was full of anger for a lot of reasons, and I drank to let it all out. The worst one I can remember, when I was about 17, is stepping in between a fight with my boyfriend and some guy. The guy knocked my boyfriend out, so I knocked the guy out! The guy I knocked out became a friend of mine and used to call me Lefty even though I belted him with a right Needless to say, I didn't have a boyfriend after that I saw him years later in a club and
  16. Snort I just choked on my coffee Grand pic Pat. If you're trying to photo your 'monster' don't forget to set the camera for macros
  17. He'll find a home no bother .... is there any way you can get him over to England?
  18. Get in touch with those blokes from Lethbridge for sure. I think I've heard you can get some decent coyote dogs out that way, should do what you want them to do. I might be mistaken but I think there's a few running dogs out there with a bit of saluki in. One reason I wouldn't be too interested in going back home to Canada now ... it's rather hard to find yourself a decent lurcher Don't get a whippet cross unless you fancy putting a stick up it's bum to make a Dogsicle out of him
  19. So NOT boring Pat I really like the first one
  20. Hey Lurchergrrl, Don't you miss the cold just a little bit??? freezing your tongue on the lamp post??? Wait till the ambient temperature passes -40 and then spit into the air and listen to it crackle as it freezes before hitting the ground. I just can't help it, I live for the winter!!! It is the greatest time of the year!!! I miss the snow DP. This country gets a centimetre of snow and everyone panics. Schools shut down, nobody can drive a car! It's shocking, honestly. When I first came here there was a sad little snowfall, and some little boy ran up to me in the street a
