  1. What they like if sitting in damp. Why are you buying another pair??
  2. I've never done this myself but my dad has years ago. He bought a few rabbits for livestock market and used them for training. That way you can constantly train withy rabbits and stopping the dog.
  3. I've been looking at some Sealand Trousers online but not sure which ones are the ones for me just by looking on the net. Going to have a look round locally for shops that sell them so I can have a proper look but just thought I'd ask around on here. Anybody got any and what are your thoughts/ opinions? Im leaning towards the Marsh style but again just by looking and reading. Cheers guys
  4. Not sure on what answers you got last time but with mine its all gone back to basics. i will use the whistle to stop them when theyre working (Training) whenever i feel like it so they get used to stopping immediately on demand. Then when they do flush something im ready with my whistle and stop them if they chase. Keep doing this and they will get used to Flush = Stop. I will always stop them every so often with whistle when walking even after they stop automatically when something is flushed just so they dont get too comfortable and test their limits when working and it actually matters
  5. Had a really good day yeaterday. If your interested in bushcraft I would definitely recommend going next year. We downloaded a timetable for the Demos, so we knew when and where everything was on. Long day but really worth it!
  6. Gunplan but i havent used them personally
  7. Gamekepers association

  10. Done - 49 to 51 Come on nearly there
  11. you could use anything really, as long as its a distinctive sound if you get me meaning. Some wont twig on to it but others will pal, it wont hurt to do it when feeding but make sure its everytime. you will see if its working as when you make sound they start moving around and coming to wire etc. So they start thinking that when they hear that noise there getting somet.
  12. In the past i have used techniques such as rattling me keys or making a squeaking noise just before i feed them, and then do that when out to help get them back. Ive had ferrets which seem to of done a lap round the tunnels then come back automatically. Ive had ferrets that have refused to come out (Probably was tucking into something that should have been mine lol) with trackers on, but were too deep and after a bit of digging have just given up. I would say to you, prepare for the worst but it isnt a definite that you will lose them while working. In terms of them working and being pe
  13. Champion. The a bit of Napier spray or something along them lines, then thats it for another year
  14. lol fair enough. I think i know the answer to this but ill be alright using a toothbrush to clean the components like i would on other bits of the gun? This is new to me as ive never took the action off the stock to see moving parts on any of my guns. Shows you dont it, buy a "Indestructible" gun and i have to strip it down lol
  15. Bump?? Sorry I didn't get back sooner! But as said any degreaser is fine, then a very light lube with any good gun oil. Its a Baikal, it'll cope lol thats what i thought until the gun i thought was indestructible stopped bloody firing how often should should i be taking the action off the stock to degrease and re-oil?
  16. Hi all, As title says really. Does anyone know where i can go to have my BSA S10 bottles refilled near Doncaster. Ive had a look online and cant really find anywhere. I aint got the money yet to buy all the gear mesen or i would just do that and not need to worry anymore. Cheers
  17. Cheers Fabio I am leaning towards a straight Lab to be honest. Just need somet to sit with me in hide, walk to heal when rough shooting, go in a bit of rough when told to, and pick up when told to do so.
  18. whats best for 25mm width, single theraband gold currently using these steel balls that i had in draw from a old factory made rat shooter but i think theyre too heavy as ive hit stuff and they have just kept going. Or should i double up my strips
  19. who me? If you mean me then they're kept outside, had wee man in the house for 2 weeks when he first came but the squealing every time we cooked drove me nuts. They're easier to keep than a dog in my opinion 10x cleaner, will not shit in their beds - they will go to the farthest corner then go to toilet. But you need to watch folk out there selling 'mini pigs' which gro the size of an old spot or saddlebacks. I don't class mine as mini pigs I just call them a simple small breed pig. When people contact me asking if their micro or teacup I tell them in my opinion there's no such thing I can't
