  1. I think you will be well pleased which ever one he makes for you.
  2. Keep using what you have got and save like mad.
  3. Got some of your lass if you want to see some lol atvbmac  id be quiet if i was you THE NAKED SHOOTER springs to mind yea every one got pics of our lass but i dont mind open minded like that you see haha Would that be a naked .177 shooter ?
  4. My 95 has only been gone a week and I am missing it already but it has got my mate away who had been dithering for a month so I let him have it to get him away and let me try the 98 out. I think I will get an imp to fill the gap.
  5. Scopes, I had a hawke HD Sport 3-9x40 on my 95 but if I was doing it again I would spend a bit more and move up the Hawke range. I also have a Nikon scope but Hawkes have one in there range to suit every body so is an easy choice.
  6. Good choice 97 feels heavy at first but if you stick with it you will be rewarded. The 95 is mid light weight and is creamy to use and very pointable around the barns. I have found them both to be great rifles. They say the 95 could do with a bit more weight on the barrel but you have the option to use a heavy moderator if that is a problem to you.
  7. Hw77 in .22 bang on the mark and hw98 in .177 bang on the mark, I am liking them both.
  8. Hello there I think £150 is the magic number that every one who posts to get started uses. It's a fair amount of cash when you look at it but IMO it's not enough as you will come to find out in the fullness of time but don't be insulted by my comment as I thought that when I first came back to it. good luck getting started.
  9. It's a Sandwell Field sport hw98, not much used mint this years rifle. Oooooohhhh no. Your one of them SFS'ers?! You got your bird tattoo booked in? What calibre ya homo? The SFS 98 comes in .177 Res. What? They dont do a twenty two?! What a load of bollox. Yes I know, I wanted a 98 in 22 but this one cropped up so I took a chance. Think he does them for HFT guys but you would think he would do them in .22 but I have not seen one by SFS ?. Mind you it shoots strait and long and feels creamy.

  12. Res the reason I asked is that I like the sports match one piece mounts but am dithering with my scope choice but if can get step down rings I will just get the 30mm double screw mount then I am ready when I choose the next scope.
  13. Real nice looking rifle, it's great to see some one with a rifle they love and it just goes to show that there is more than one great rifle out there. It's one of the big things that I have learned about the fact that there are great rifles out there and you should go with what YOU want and have the confidence to chose your own kit by what you want and not what the crowd says is the only one to have.
  14. My beloved HW95 has left the building.......... Long live the HW98.
  15. There are IR scopes but not may IR SF that are not Hawke scopes unless I am looking in the wrong places. Thanks for all the feed back. Well that's put pay to that for a week or two. SFS HW98.
  16. Both for me but the .22 is as sweet as and for real men with big hands are easy to load LOL. I will not rest until I have all the rifles in all the cal's (Mr Gready).
  17. For what it's worth I am a Fosters man but can get away with Carling as long as it is extra cold. I was sure I would get the thumb hole model but after handling and using the sporter I am a 100% sporter fan. Good job we all like different things.

  19. I have a New Pro staff 7 2.5-10x50 BDC rifles scope and it's very good in both optical and mechanical quality and it looks good as well (must learn how to put photo's on). 1/4 MOA. I need a second scope but thought it would be good to have IR and side focus. Is it worth missing out on the IR.
