  12. it needs to as I finish up on the 1st of feb anyway as its 75mph winds last nite and today with rain all day and nite.as this happen last year the same time and all the rabbits got mixy and nothing was about cos of the bad weather and fed the bird up as it was hard to get one flight with the bird and wasn't going to waste her and give her a good long moult.
  13. Yeah mate I couldn't believe it as she had it on the head hold and still took off with the bird.and that is only a rabbit running with the bird on imaging what a hare would be like if it ran on as you can't watch the flight like a rabbit as once its off the fist your running after it.

  18. sorry to hear that david, weather not being kind to us at the mo so not a lot of flying to be had anyhow Tell me about the weather as I had the gos out yesterday Tring for a few rooks and no luck as she was up in weight at 2lb 12 1\2 oz.so ended up with rope pulling and planned for lamping tonight as there is a 12khp winds and perfect weather and it has rained from 12 oclock non stop so I'm getting peed off as ive not had a days ferreting in 4 weeks and thinking of ending my season early.
  19. Ive always went pr birds.and lll always trained them to the hood to .shame you weren't looking this year as I seen I sister of my bird up for sale £500 and untouched to and came out of the pen at 3lb 2oz.
  20. well this is the clip from last nite as you can see with the first clip i had the bird hooded and she shut down as she didn't go for the rabbits and ull see a few clips with how windy it was and the bird didn't leave the glove and at times she gets blown about with the wind, and I just pushed on and ended with two in the bag.
  21. Well tonight the big girl was 2lb 10 3/4oz and there was a bit of high winds.so I decided with the mate to go out anyway and managed two in the bag.
  22. I was over the moon with her as I thought lll never get a hare with her.as I flown Harris for around 7 years and I trained up a really good female and I had that bird super fit and wouldn't look at a hares even I showed her them in the training stage when I got her.not interested in them.so this is the first bird ive had that has caught one for me.
  23. looking good Sean how long was the flight mate that flight was not far as there was a piece of heavy grass and the springer worked it and out bolted the hare as we must been 8 foot away from it and made a wrong mistake and ran down hill and she nailed it.
