  1. Cheers mate.its only took me to get her entered in her second season and lets hope there be more.as I got my first hare in the second season and first pheasant and now a grey back. Well done Sean. They just get better and better every year if you put the work in, like you have. The good thing about a female on crows is they pulverise them. My female has taken a few and she doesn't get anywhere near the hassle as the male does. Sometimes a crowd will come in and mob the hell out of your bird. sorry for not getting back .as I tried again on Friday and no luck on a few rooks a
  2. have you tried it in slow motion though? it can be a bit blocky on certain settings, that why I like the one im using, the slow motion is awesome to show movements etc that you cant see at normal speeds, no mate as I don't know how to work the slow motion on it as I'm just a virgin to this go pro and learning as I go.
  3. hi mate I'm using the pny 64gb memory card as it has a high speed reader that is need for the go pro,as I seen on the go pro when I stick the card in it says 8hr 50 mins I take that is what it can record in one go .as I know with the 32gb san disk ive got ive stored 8 dvds on training springers and there both 7 hours long ,
  4. I use the tail and leg with the gos as I always used one on the tail.until my mate lost his gos for 9 days with just tranny on the tail and failed and couldn't find it.now I use one on The tail and leg incase one tranny fails. That's a wise policy Sean. Like you said, you never know when one is going to fail. Your friend did well getting his gos back after 9 days. I know that if my German gos was out for that long and catching his own game, there is no way I would get him back unless I was fortunate enough to trap him. I'm not sure about my female imprint. I like to think she would come

  7. Well today the big girl was 2lb 10 3/4 oz and was planned to go lamping tonight and the mate and me went out to look for a rook as ive not her entered yet on them and had a slip at two sitting in the field and she went half hearted at them and threw up as they lifted and lined on a telephone line so swung the lure and down she came.so we headed on to see what else was about and I seen a grey back feeding away from a distance and tried to get close as I could get as she never be entered on rooks and she seen it of the glove like a rocket and the grey back lifted about two foot in the air and to
  8. I like to use the gopro setting 1060p at 30fps on my lamping flight and would use it during the day time to when out with the mate doing some cover work with the springer's and lurcher.
  9. I'm using the head mounting strap and think its the best way to get these flights, would like to see if I could get one on the bird, the gopro hero 3 is doing a good job for me as I'm only using it to record flights, and I did a test run on them cheaper batterys on ebay for the gopro they last the same time as gopro battery,so its not hard to pick out where there getting there batterys from and just stick the own sticker on it and charge you £15. that's not good, im glad I haven't ordered one yet, that's what mates are for lol, head strap for me too with me bob hat on so I don

  11. I just listen for the beeps when I turn it on, press record, if ive forgot and try it again you get multiple beeps when you've press to stop recording, just press it again, that's all I do I just use the wifi control on the phone and turn it off and on without touching a button on the gopro I guess its different for you when your lamping sean, if its not my slip or walking between setts is the only time I turn mine off, sometimes I stop and start it again to keep each footage short When I'm lamping when I'm just about to go in the field to start lamping I turn it on and only turn it off

  15. cheers mate.i would do with a bottle of whiskey to sweat this man flu out of me. shame your so far away, got two good bottles of bourbon whiskey sat here, I just have the odd tipple every now and then (more then than now lol) Flip the way I feel I would just neck the whole bottle and never mind a tipple of it.
  16. Well after it been raining all day here and it only stopped about 7.30 tonight I decided to go with the lamp and put the big girl on the scales she was 2lb 11 3\4 oz and waited a few hours to let the rabbit come out abit in the field.so I headed out and got into the field and it was like a swamp and heard every foot step.so I said to myself it could be a waste of a night and just push on and got a few flight and this one sat tight and let the gos at it and ended up with a kill and called it a night.
  17. I did a covert on a video I had and was two hours long and did it no bother.on youtube.
  18. cheers mate.i would do with a bottle of whiskey to sweat this man flu out of me.
  19. its the only way I can get out as ive had over a week of bad weather during the day and cant get out .its abit scary at times on the lamp if she misses a flight and hits a thermos I can only see a green flashing light from her transmitter on her tail up in the sky.
  20. yeah as I love this wee sprocker lots of fire in him,as ive got a full breed springer as he was already trained and the pup shows him up,but ive got to look at the springer hes nearly 8years old and trained the pup to work the cover as I only did the sit and recall commend with him.
  21. well here is the clip from last nites lamping the second flight was at a hare and she didn't like it and threw up after the hare lifted, and some other flights are at some rabbits long distance at least 300yards away as there lamp shy as hell .and the last flight is the one she caught in the pic.
  22. Well went out with the big girl and she was 2lb 11oz and after missing a cock pheasant today I wasn't that happy and took the lamp out a run and managed to bag one.
  23. well done mate I got out today for a quick hour before getting the wee man from school.so the big girl was 2lb 11oz and got the young sprocker ready and went out with the mate, and the pup worked a line down beside a river and I walked down the other side with the gos and the pup started barking and out pops a cock bird and of the gos went after it and I seen the pheasant hitting cover with the gos close bye and tracked her down and lost it in really thick cover and she was in a tree so I worked the pup under her to see if he could fine the cock bird but had no luck.and I had the go pro with m
