  1. No you clown. Look at the handle. Picture 3.
  2. The valleys are full of the dodgy characters. They'll all help at a cost. Good luck fella.jok.
  3. And there was little old me trying to help.. I'll give you a clue. I live near Derby also but in a village called Moira.
  4. A nice salmon would have been out of the question then.lol.
  5. Get yourself a Mk1 locator and collar pal. I've proved it time and time again, it beats the crap out of the Mk3. Not only that, you'll like as not get one for the right money.
  6. Just by the way, now that everyone can see where it came from, I was going to tease a little. Look at the handle carefully and I'm sure you'll agree it is Puffin wood.
  7. Samurai. I know what it was. I've seen one before and they are great. Jok.
  8. Sorry Moxy. Charlie Caller asking if Cooksy needed an adult to go with him. Tickled me when I read it. You must admit it did read a bit teenagerish
  9. It's the top that's puzzling?
  10. Samurai. Where did your grandfather do his service? I'm guessing Samoa, Indonesia or the like. Don't tell me Aldershot or I'll have the boys on you. Lol
  11. Kanny. More astute please? And when you get it keep it under the belt till the weekend.

    Wood Work

W Katchum and Kanny. Have a look at the diy section. See if you can guess the wood. Jok.
  13. Ahha. Look closely. You little beauty. Never in the history of man has this been detected, and by a mere Jok nonetheless less. Without a doubt and I know what it is, you have to keep guessing. I'll only divulge after receiving my birthday drink off gaz_1989 at the weekend. Wow.
  14. Forest of Dean. My first thoughts exactly given that lovely golden handle but look again I think.
  15. There's nothing, I believe, that grows in this country with so many offshoots. So. Either a climber, which will have this effect, thinking about honeysuckle growing round hazel, or some sort of swamp wood which has had the same vine type creeper type secondary growth. Can only imagine South America or Africa. Do you know what it is??
  16. Ah yes. Been there, done that. However the gulls are certainly schooled in that boat means fish means dinner. Slightly different case in question but I take it on board. (Sorry pun not intended).
  17. Pesky1972. What a read. I'm perhaps not daft after all. I was going to suggest that the college boys on here might try something useful but it seems I'm too late. How on earth did you dig that up anyway. Not a former college boy are you.lol.
  18. SHH. Not so sure about gulls. Where we live (mid Derbs) it's a way of life for them ie: the tip. Thinking about it, on the many times I've gone there I have never seen a corvid. I wonder if the gulls are preditorial. Sorry, another topic. I kind of like the idea of the fox upsetting the maggies rule, or even a feral cat. This is becoming quite interesting as a debate. Thank you. Jok.
  19. This started when W. Katchum (bless him) asked about a poachers box. Well WK you can see some great ideas so what do you want?. I love the idea of cutting off the front corner of a cube and having a Bowback. Size is immaterial. Mind you, we've till September to sort it Devon. Not sure about the slope. Think that would be a bit tricky. Does look smart though.
  20. Terryd. Go for it son. Flipping beautiful. I've kept one back for gaz_1989 who's collecting his new ferret box this weekend. I'll let him tell you good or bad. Jok.
  21. Like them Moxy. Look well made and using a piano hinge is always good. Don't mind them latches either. However, looking at the others, it would appear that 'slung round the hips' is the way to go. I have never seen them before but have no problem making. I'm going for the one that socks has mainly because the others would take a bit more concealing. See what happens. Mate. I've just spotted the tilt front. Now that's an idea worth perusing. Looking at Naveks box, if you imagine cutting off the front corner roughly where the latch is and in line with the hinges we'd have the best of everything
  22. Charlie caller. Straight over the top mate. Makes you wonder
  23. Good job nothing bad happens to you.
  24. Strange these black and white menaces, but you have to give them credit when it comes to food. I sorted out a few rabbits the other evening and as it was getting dark chucked the guts over the hedge into some fairly rough brambles etc. First light and the feckers were arguing about who gets what. Now they didn't see me chuck them and it was early so how did they know. Smell I reckon. Who knows better????
