  1. I'm an amateur weather forecaster of the last 10 year or so and have my own station, something that has served me well over the years working the fells. Be it getting sheep in and under cover for clipping before the rain arrives or tracking real time data out in the field when harvesting. This is a good little thing to add to your android phone if you fancy staying dry. Its not up there with the METO subscription I use but for free it's good enough. Anything to make the job a bit more predictable and more comfortable
  2. Is it just the pic or are the tunnel traps decent and not Asian imported crap?
  3. BT outdoor work wear is the dogs bollocks.
  4. you should have said they were for long netting,I presumed you bought them for longevity, hence the capital post.
  5. Dry them out then the wood burner with a light covering of sea coal.
  6. They'll last all of a week going by the other crap Ashley sells. Made in ASIA BY SLAVES AND SOLD IN THE UK BY FOLK ON ZERO HOUR CONTACTS.

  11. Books are bad for you, or so I was once told lol.
  12. Anyone used one before? It blew me away regards it's capabilities with anything soil or root obstruction, local estate warden gave me an afternoon with it and Christ was I impressed. The japs know how to make steel that's for sure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hori_hori
  13. Straight down through the mole hill and rebuilt, got 3 out of 4 today and a none run through on the 4th.had 6 duffus in on the same hedgerow and they backfilled 3 and hadn't passed the other 3 in 48 hrs. may have been my bad regards the duffus but the talpex evened up the score in the end.
  14. I'll mop them all up eventually, land is on my doorstep and owned by a friend. Was interesting to see newcomers take over the runs after only 3 weeks of cleaning the area. This is the part of trapping that interest me, not the need to make as much as I can in the shortest amount of time. I know I'm lucky and have a vast area to play with as a newbie, but I think my slow approach may pay dividends in the future and what more I can pick up regards mole behaviour.
  15. Thought this area was done but another 5 in the last 3 days.
  16. new hill erected small flag 18" away and a ground spay 2 meters to the north and a map hopefully will work ok.
