This is kind of cool never heard of stock dogs working as hunting dogs
-
I was reading about rabbit hunting with sight hounds and the dog bringing them back alive if you have heard of this is it just luck or teaching
-
Just wanted to ask is hunting normal for the kelip I was thinking that they were stock dog but would like to know how they do as a hunting dog
-
Hi you all sorry it been so long since I have been on but good to know people know what I mean just I was thinking that deer stacking dog want out and hunted up the deer not staying with the hunter but I would like to know what kind of working dogs have done the work that I have heard like this
-
I was reading about wired hair points be used in there home land not only for birds but also helping the game keepers to keep pest like Fox's I was just wondering if anyone still use them for fox from what I have been able to find they track one like a hound but do not rang out as far as a hound or go off on a old track which is what I like so if anyone use them for fox when you let the dog out do they work close to you were you can get a shot soon as they jump one or do you have to get ahead of the dog to get a shot as they push them
-
hey you all wanted to ask if anyone has heard of a dog doing this on the hunt I was readying were a guy had his dog with him and it would set by his side and when game was coming in to were he was at the dog would let him know he did not say how the dog did it and after the shot the dog would blood track to find the game just what to ask if anyone has head of this it would be a cool dog to have that could do that were a lot of the hunting we do is over bait or game calling
-
what is a jagd terrier don't think I know that one but I did some looking about the lab x pit all I could find were pic of the dog nothing about how they do in the hunt or the game they have been used for if any one would have any info on the x I would like to know more
-
what I was worry about was around here the coyotes have been bad for going after littler dogs for food even coming in to peoples yards after them and what I was thinking with some that just want to push one out would be the coyote turning around and coming after them
-
hey you all had a idea for a bushing dog I wanted to see if anyone could give me any input but fist I give you all a idea of the land we hunt and the game we hunt the land is mostly hills with a lot of trees and a lot of bushes and cover with just a few opens that been cleand out for crops and livestoke and the game we hunt is mostly fox and coyote and before to long we most likle have wild hogs what I am thinking is maybe a gundog x with a bull or maybe a begle with a bull like maybe Staffordshire would have the dive to push out game and be able to hold it owne if something jumped it for
-
I have been thinking about it and the only problem I can see is with the staffie after the game was pushed out they mit want to go after and if they run mut it could be hard to keep up with them
-
just wounding you all that use bulls for hunting how do they do at tracking I know they can catch because I know a boy that use a pit bull as a kill dog for hog hunting but they use other dogs to find and bay up hogs and then they led the bull dog in so I always had the idea they just could not track I would love to know I was wrong because I just love the bulldogs
-
well I was having this same idea when I find out about flushing dogs be used to flush fur too the only thing would be most of the game we can run here with dogs would be fox coyote and hogs I would be scared a pure flushing dog would be bad hurt or killed on game like that so I got to thinking what if you x one with staff bulls for size and a strong fighter a dog like that could dive out game for a shot and be able to take care of it self if they were jumped for a fight but I don't know that much about flushing dogs over here they are just used for birds as far as I have seen and the only s

what I was trying to find out was since they run quit from what I have ready until they see the game would the fox not have time to run and bay up or would they run from one like they would from a hound
-
hey you all looking to see if I could find anyone that run g.w.p on fox from what I ready that was one of the game they run from the first I have read they don't open up on game until they see it I would think that would make them a good bay dog and that they don't hunt as far out as a hound would so my ? would be if anyone has run fox with there do they bay them up pretty fast or do you shot them running like you would with a hound is so do they hunt close to get a shot soon as they jump one or do you have to get ahead of them like with a hound
-
what I am trying to find out is if they run quit would they be faster to bay up game then a hound that would open up on the first track we live in land that is mostly hills and it would take a hound hours if not all day to run down game so a dog that can bay up one fast would be great
-
thinks you all that pretty much adds up with what little I could find about them just one last ? if anyone has hunted them on game I have read they well not brake until they on all most right on the game is that what you all have seen
-
don't know if this would be the spot to ask this but was thinking maybe some of you boys mite know about this I find out about the deutsch drahthaar when I find out about them be used for deer and I got to reading what little I could find about them here I find they have been used as game dogs from what I can find they may be the dogs I have be looking for I just hunt furs but the way I ready they don't make a lot of noise until they are right on them game so they make good bay dogs I am mostly thinking about fox and coyote hunting and just had a few ? 1 the land we hunt is mostly hills
-
hi you all I was happen maybe you all could answer some questions on drahthaar I know nothing about them until I come up on them be used for deer and then I got to reading about them what little I could find over here about them they could be the best dogs for what I am looking for I don't bride hunt but from what I have read they can be used on furs form the way I read they hunt they could be what I was looking for to take fox and coyote beaver and muskrats and hunting deer sheds just a few questions 1 I was bring up with hounds since I was able to be in the woods and I was just needin

sorry about the miss spelling you all what I was trying to say was i read the lurcher could use it nose one night i saw on the internet some people were use two lurchers to catch fox they were bringing in with game calls one of them said they like the lurcher better them the pure blood sight hound because the lurchers could pick up on one coming in before the boys pick up on them the one they said they like the best was one that was a sight hound working dog x i was just wanting to ask has one knowing of one like that using it nose
-
hi you all my name is jonathan I am from the southing U.S and I have a ? about lurchers I have been reading about hunting with sighthounds because I love the old ways of hunting and I was thinking it would be kind of cool to hunt like my people did before they had guns but some of the reading I did got me to thinking maybe a lurcher is what is need for the land here it all hills with trees and cover the little bit I could find soundeds like they could use they noise unlike a full blood sight hound I was just wanting to ask for one to use it noise but still be able to catch what kind of x would
-
the elk hound was the one that I find about and I kind of like the way I read of how they were worked on a lead and used to bay up big game I think that it could be a good way for the game we have here
-
hi for the southing U.S I was hoping maybe you all could help me with something I have been reading about I was reading about a dog that they called a elkhound and how they were bread to hunt mosse by there self I think most of the ones over here are pets and show dogs but I was wondering are there blood lines that are still used for hunting I also so were some times they were worked on a lease and they run quit leading the hunters to the game I think that could work prett good with us now we don't have mosse here but we have coyote and fox that bed down and the old people use to hunt them by
-

hi you all I was on the internet one night and find a boy from Norway that was talking about hunting beaver I got to see what he said and find out that there are beaver in a few places over seas I am from the U.S and we trap them here but I was just wounding if anyone has done it on here how do you do about it looking were to set up what kind of gun and how do you get them out of the water like I said we trap over here but I just think it would be a cool way to know thinks
-
how do they work the game I have heard that they run it like a hound would and I been told some point like they do on brids
