Thanks for replying i've noticed these dying brown patches appearing over at least the last 3 yrs.... so not totally convinced my problem is a over saturation/ water logging issue,.... i hold my hand up... over trinnimg i am surly guilty of, but unforunatly i can't turn the clock back. 14. Thanks the replys folks, a good link that Ossie, i'll have a proper read through that later , i am leaning towards spider mites being the cause of the problem but it seems like they are fairly safe from contact sprays when burried deep in a thick hedge, might give these spider mite predators a try next year when the weather warms up.. http://www.homehydro.co.uk/index.php/spider-mite-predators.html?___store=default A good point there aswell Skycat, looking back, think i have been a tad overenthusiastic with the trimmimg!

I've got a fair stretch of conifers , golden Lelandi, on the back garden and they seem be to dying over the last few years... brown patches spreading all over them, done some searching on the net and not managed to get a decicive answer.... wind burn.... seeming to be a popular answer, spider mites also seem to getting the blame in some cases and i do have the small webs on the conifer associated with them, applied some of this during the summer out of desperation... http://spidermitecontrol.com/... but weeks later the webs are still here! I'

  19. I once had a very 'drunken' vindaloo at a rough indian in Paisley on a night out. The next day it was like brown water coming out. Could have shit through the eye of a needle. I had my arse glued to the pan and my head in the sink for most of the day. Filthy b*****ds. FTB Yep, they are dirty C#=;s that is a fact! I always like to go with the dogs through a nice coniferous wood after an indian... guaranteed to find a nice mossey log!
