Good work fellas... the nifty is one hell of a lense for the money.... its light... cheap... and razor sharp! only down side is, on a crop body you have to stand off that bit more, Cleanspade.. if you were a tad closer to me i would drop you my 70-200 off to try out out for a couple of weeks..

Cheers folks.... pleased you liked those few pics, Donk, the camera i use is a Canon 7D, but the pricey bit is the lense, a canon 70-200 2.8 with IS, its my flexible friend, good for action stuff... hunting, wildlife and the kids sports days etc Rock... had a chuckle at that... .... i've got a good few pics here that i'm sure Mr Craven would love to see!! not too sure they'd make the calender though!!.... but.. they're just for my viewing!.. for now anyway... Not staged at all IMHO, it takes years and years to train the birds and from studying Ghengis Khan, this has been going on for centuries. This is worth a read; http://www.mongoliat....com/eagle.html Not saying its all staged.... but watch this! #! Think about it, out in the middle of nowhere.. deepest Mongolia/ khazakstan.. and the camera man, with all his gear happens to be in the right place at the right time?? with the hapless mutt running straight at him?? luck or staged? like i say, not knocking the birds or anything, just wondered how they obtained the "wolves"...

Are these "wolfs" wild caught and then turfed out in front of the birds or are they captive bred?? Obviously the majority of it is staged.. not knocking the birds or anything.. just curious....
-
Just a little bump, i would't mind a run out with these... its been a while, P.M if you like...

Cheers Pam, yep it was at Shirebrook, a long while ago though, must be last year, think the dog belongs to the chap who runs it down there, not to going to say his name on here, those few pics were just picked at random to get me back into the swing of using photobucket, got loads of racing pics as you know.... think you've got this one, here you go anyway.... what weight did he end up at Pam?
