    Well I've just had a very quick wander through a wood on a perm on the way back from a job and lazed a crow at 42 yards Si. A smidge of holdover as I'd zeroed her at 30 yesterday and a lovely heart and lung shot sent it tumbling down the tree. Unfortunately, its still up there upside down just out of poking down reach but very much dead thanks to the 99s pal??

    Joking apart Jimmy it's a cracking rifle. When you consider the weight difference from the more flagship models from the likes of AA and weihrauch etc it's not trying to dislodge your fillings and a lot of that is down to Si's fettling??

    As you all probably know, Si bought a new .177 hw99s a few weeks back and gave it his famous fettle, I will let him comment on what was done as he's far more in the know than I am. After a few conversations Si asked me for my address and said the hw was heading to Anglesey for me to have a play with and it arrived last night (much to my delight!!!!). What can I say.     We all have days like that pal. I've shot at drawing pins all afternoon and then gone out with the same Springer at dusk and missed sitters.......its easy to turn an airrifle into a cricket bat when you know it's something you have done and not the gun?

    Well I've I've had a tx in both flavours and loved them. I've never owned a 97 but I've shot them and again, lovely to shoot. It is going to be a pro sport in .177 when I've got the spare funds as I had that one last year very briefly and I was gutted to have to swap it but it just wasn't right so yes, a pro sport it will be pal. I'm like a broken record I know but it's the best looking springer out there and if it's as impressive as either of my tx200's then I will be made up. Just need to keep saving a bit longer??

    Weather looks nice there too Mark. I'm going have to get another Springer to swap between that and the r10 as I do enjoy using a Springer. All the tx's I've had have been faultless. Very nice shooting again pal?? Ps........your like the shooting equivalent of a carp fisherman lugging your barrow up and down mate??
