    Funny you should say that, couple weeks ago a mate and me coming down from a summit camp about 8am and this huge bird glided passed us about 20m in front at eye level with crows and ravens flying around it but not mobbing it, I seen a satellite tag on its back and nearly pissed my pants with excitement, my mate argued it was a buzzard to which I informed him that they just don’t satellite tag buzzards… Few miles further on we bump into a local farmer, having a bit chat about dogs and adders when above us were 2 buzzards calling, my mate mentions to the farmer of our sighting earlier on and tha

    They’re dead canny to be fair and very filling, the Carbonara and the bolognese being my preference, chicken curry was alright.. I personally prefer the dehydrated meals over the wet meals (Wayfarer/army rations). Go outdoor do them buy 1 get 1 half price so work out well, Firepot, blahbland, expedition foods and real turn at meant to be nice but can be expensive at about £9-£10 each…

    I just don’t get it… Watched a good few of his vids in the past and lots of his camps in the Lake District have looked great, some good craic and when he’s with he’s little mate the dwarf you get a laugh at times but totally gone off him and his channel when he slept in a bivvy bag behind a skip, the other week he slept amongst the privets in a roundabout on a main road or something the scruffy fukcer - honestly just don’t get it… Stealth camping - Eeejits.

    Aye, he’s definitely a true broad Yorkshire lad, it’s like a language all of his own sometimes… Thats Blyth beach huts and pier/lighthouse, lived there for 15yrs and only 5 mins down the road from there now… They’re all inbreeds who live in Amble ? Coastline Chippy and ice-cream at Blyth beach are the best in the NE by far ? Hope you manage to get sorted with some wild camping gear and we starting seeing some photos of your camps before long.

    all depends on budget and how comfortable you want to be along with how cold/bad conditions are… Trekology UL80 are meant to be great sleeping mats if you hit on a good one, it’s 50/50 whether it leaks or last years from what I’ve heard… Quality mats are Seatosummit Ether XT insulated, Thermarest X-therm or an Exped Synmat (all will be good for 4 season and lifetime guarantee but pricey) Sleeping bags (down are lighter and more compact) - 3 season Rab Ascent 600/700 OEX Leviathan 600 Alpkit Skyhigh 500/700 4 season bags Rab Ascent 900/1100 OEX Levia

    If your going to be using it for 4 seasons or are a cold sleeper then id be choosing the Terra Nova Wild Country Helm Compact 2… It’s officially rated as 3 season but it’s so well made and designed that loads of people use it as a 4 season tent… Have a look at this channel - he’s used he’s all year round in some wild conditions ?

    Only heard good things about these tents, Wild Country is owned by Terranova who are extremely reputable for high quality tents… A tent you can pitch inner/outer at same time is quality, means if pitching in pi55ing down rain then inside is still gonna be dry where as if it’s an inner first pitch tent then there’s a good chance inside would be damp before you had time to get the fly sheet on.

    Yeah, been watching loads of his channel, appears to be in quite a fortunate position being able to be out as much as he is and fair play to him… Scotlands Mountains - he does some absolute wicked hikes and camps, also Andrew Beavers is worth watching too, he does lots in the Peak District but does travel all over for a camp ?

    Disappointing to hear that, gonna give it a watch anyways, was hoping for something special with it being a true story and so recent, it’s been hyped up hear quite a bit on the telly and radio.
