    Cheers Bill, Yeah, taken with my new 300 F4 L Got down about 6am this morning and didn't start showing till about 8.10 ha ha... Could've had a lie in You must be keen mate, ratting til 3am then out early for Owl... I know my pics aren't a patch on yours mate but I'll keep practicing and you can give me some tips and tricks

    Managed to get some more photos of Barn Owl this morning

    Use some vet wrap round them when ground is hard... Help em heal and protect them. I've tried stopper pad protectors but wasn't impressed with them, then used vet wrap which you can buy from pound shops or eBay...

    Make sure when you're filling that you are going off the gauge on dive bottle or pump (whatever you're using) DON'T GO OFF THE GAUGE ON RIFLE, especially when filling

    Fill to 190, should get 40 - 50 shots maybe, don't let it drop to less than 100

    Yes mate, definitely Would love to have a go snapping a pic I've got a 70 - 300 f4-5.6 it's not the best at 300 but not too bad at 250... I'd be more than happy just to watch an owl in flight and hunting and if a can get a half decent pic then I'd be over the moon... I'm saving for a 300 f4 L series and watching a few on eBay at moment, then think a 1.4 tc to match lens will be next on the list

    About 11 - 12 month old in lamping pic and his 1st night out - only 4 in bag of which he accounted for 2 out of 3 runs... He done me proud
