    Ferreting when young farmer firing shots in the air and did we run that day it worked, year ago got permission in one farm thought we could hunt all of Ireland,just say o I thought this was such and such farm, say sorry for mistake got a lot of permission that way, now a days wouldn't have the neck to do it.

    As a very young lad ferreting under a head stone with my older brother, standing on the grave setting purse nets, very old graveyard, got 3 rabbits and sold them,killing all the rabbits in a rabbit pen a lad had for training springers he is still throwing me dirty looks after 25 years never talks to me I was only young had no sence, 6 handy rabbits with poles, what did you ever do that you look back at it now and laugh?

    I'd leave her where she is, it is hard enough to get a great working ferret, be taking a big chance taking her, someone on here will put you onto someone thats breeding great worker to g worker ,if you get kits don't start them till there 6 or 7 months, this site will get you sorted with young ferrets, never buy any old ferrets.

    Mark 1 all the way, had mark 3 and sold it piece of shit, they slipped up with the mark 3, I'd say they will never sell as many mark 3 as they did mark 1, when is mark 4 coming out, hope its mark 1 with better wheel.

    At that size there as big as greyhounds, you breed them must be good to turn with rabbit, don't over run much.

    A few rabbits breed nearly all year round, but not to the extend they do in summer.

    The topic dry feed, even the great Simon Whitehead feeds dry in the summer, but like myself back on rabbit middle of September, I agree feeding rabbits during hunting season is a must.But the problem in summer the freezers are empty,pigeon can even have blue fly on them before they leave the field.Just makes more sence to feed dry in summer,and the ferrets are jumping out of their skin, shiny coats,if they were not in great condition they would not get cat nut,same size of the ferret nuts,and the ferrets love them,but they also love there rabbit for 7 months.

    Why is it cruel to kill rabbits this time of year and not in the winter... Does are not feeding young rabbits in the winter,if you are going to kill milky does in the summer,young rabbits will be dying for days in the burrows. Young rabbits suffering for days not what the hunting game is about. If you have to clear a farm killing milky does make sure you get the young and not cause suffering to the rabbits. They surely deserve that.

    Do you do anything but bait the blue flies off the ferrets dinner all day,I know the ferret game all right,some of us have children can't spend all the time killing flies.clean ferrets out every 2 days have big garden mesh at the toilet area in the box a lot falls through the mesh or would you think of doing that.
