    Looking to kit the back of the truck out with storage and somewhere to put the dogs, I have a rough idea in my head but if any off you lot could put some pics up of your setups for inspiration that would be a great help.

    Your right I shouldn’t have used such a sweeping statement, I was just generalising. Tbh, the whippets had far less injuries than the lurcher.

    He’s not kc I believe his lines are mike brown and nimrodel and he’s 22tts. Obviously there not not going to be as resilient to the harsh weather like beddy or collie x type. As long as he’s doing something the weather doesn’t bother him but they do get a bit fed up if your stood about in it a while, he’s put some cold days in on the fell with me while I’ve been working though. If by kennel you mean on the arm chair by the fire then he copes with that fine, I got him for the missus so she could have a pet that I can still work. I don’t think I would keep one for my sole runn

    I always thought whippets were just rabbiting dogs. Until we got this fella, they can really surprise you and not just once in a blue moon but consistently surprise you!

    Spent the day with my pal bolting bunnys and hunting up rushes with the dogs, as always great crack watching the dogs do there thing. Both dogs worked well and came home injury free. My pal even accounted for 2 himself single handed, literally.

    With living in the sticks my house takes a bit of abuse from the weather, so it doesn’t take much for it to knock of the tv, WiFi, and occasionally like last night the electricity. With that it generally means it’s a good time to get out with the dog. Fired up the generator to keep the freezers going and off out. There wasn’t a great deal about on the spot but we managed a few runs and he didn’t miss many so pleased with his effort, it’s great to watch the little whippet twisting and turning like a contortionist, even more so when I’m used to watching the big dog, who to be honest turns

    I’ve never seen a acd but I have kelpies and from what I’ve read on here they seem very similar to the kelpies in the sense they need to be doing something constantly, and are very busy dogs. Im not 100% keen on the kelpies but you’ve got to give it to them, they are relentless workers. I couldn’t think of a worse dog to keep in the house, if mine aren’t doing something for 5 minutes they will find something to do, wrong or right.

    I wish I could, my missus works in a butchers and I still can’t get any scraps, her boss’s lad goes with it all for his dogs ?

    Had a morning out with a pal to make a start with the season. Was a nice morning but it didn’t take long for it to heat up, good to see a few bunnys about though. Not a huge bag but a nice start ?
