Why don't you leave the bitch out and bring the dog in? Either way I'd definatly separate themAgain, the mrs! Him being a pup is a lot more boisterous and energetic and she is really well behaved! So that's why she's in and not him!Put your foot down! 3 choices, bitch in the house dripping blood, boisterous pup in the house or both outside with the chance of a mishap I always put a pair of pants on the bitch when she lived in and was in season Haha it is down mate! That's why she's inside. I've still got to listen to it though!

No mate, not reallysome get fed up with your pup trying to mount it and give a bad biteThat's what I want to know really, would he even try to mount her? I personally don't think he would because he's never shown any signs of this behaviour at all yet. He's not even started cocking his leg! Obviously though it's better safe than sorry and I can't watch them 24/7 which is why I've brought her in. I just didn't know if I was being over-cautious???

I've just noticed my bitch is in season so I've brought her in the house, she usually lives outside with my other dog. What I want to know is, is it really necessary to bring her in? The dogs only just turned seven months and is still very much a pup, is there much chance of him trying to get on her or not? The reason I'm askin this is because she's bleeding in the house and the mrs is whinging!

I had same problem a couple of week back, my bitch jumped a fence and was literally hanging from the fence. When I got her off it had opened her stomach right up. Put an early end to my night aswell! Anyway, cleaned it and stapled her up and my vet swears by manuka honey so I gave it a try, rubbing it on it a few times a day. Healed miles better than expected! Not 100% whether that's down to the honey but I'd definitely use it again and she's fine now. Might be worth a try? -
Cheers mate,They get gain and chicken carcasses aswell though. Do you think they still need the vitamin e and calcium? And where do you get it please? They sell greyhound vitamins in a local pet shop in powder form, is this what I want? Can't think what it's called, think it might begin with G or something though!

That's good, I paid 26 quid and when I looked at the ingredients, it's not even cod liver oil, it's mainly rapeseed oil! Is that right????
-
I do mate, I mix it all up in a bucket. About 3kg meat, bit of pasta, veg, brown bread bits of offal, heart, liver etc and about 40ml of cod liver oil unless I put mackerel in with it all. I don't know if that's enough or too much oil to be honest but I'm sure it can't be bad for them. How much do you use pal?

Not Even Started And Have First Injury
Ads replied to Bed/whippet's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
No, doesn't really look like it needs vets mate. It will prob heal on it's own but as said, a couple of stitches or staples will speed up the healing process. And keep it clean! -
Definitely doesn't sound right. Get him to the vet to be on the safe side pal

There £35 pound for a reason mate, can't comment as to how good they perform because I wouldn't be able to get over how they look. They might be the dogs nads, but there not for me. As I say, up to now muck boots have always been good for me. Some people say there shite, some people like them. But for there price range, I'm happy. If you want better footwear, you'll pay more, le chamaeu for example. Regards Adam

My mates just bought some tf gear fishing boots, look a lot better than those gay looking seeland things and are comfy as fook when I tried them on at home. With regards to quality and to how long they'll last, I don't really know. Me personally, I'll stick to my muck boots, always managed to not get caught and stayed waterproof! The tf gear boots are only 28 quid. Hope this helps. Adam

Thanks mate. Any idea as to why it wasn't working?
-
Always seems to be work commitments!?!?!?
-
Tell me about it! Won't be using them again anyway. They were half the price of everyone else, now I know why, they don't pay out!

Hi, if anybody on here is insured with these w@nkers, would it be possible to get a copy of the insurance booklet please. I really need to look at it and the website is conveniently not letting me log in! If you pm me please and I can give you my email address. It would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Adam

Looks similar to mine and my mates from same litter. Same age, both parents workers. Saluki, bull, greyhound mine, whereabouts you get it from mate?
-
its around £63 for a 13kg bag. had mine on it. did well but their farts were often and eye watering. Taste the wild or simpsons for me. I always steered clear of high protein levels in dog food, but since trying Orijen and such like I have changed my mind. they are on high protien, grain free food all year round and get fatty lamb and minced game when they are in hard work during the season. That sounds a bit more reasonable, I nearly had a nose bleed when I saw the prices on their website!
-
Who feeds there dogs Orijen? A few people saying how good it is so I thought I'd have a look at it, it's about 27 quid for just under half a kilo. That means for a same size bag as gain, it would cost about 800 quid! Have I got that right???
-
Nothing wrong at all there mate. A while ago I had a couple of people saying to me that my dog looked thin but because it was around the same time, I started questioning myself. When I took her to the vets, he said she looked really well and in "supreme" condition! Funnily enough the people that said she was thin, don't even own dogs!

Where's that mate? Do you not mean Newchurch?
-
Saw that the other day in lancashire evening telegraph. Bell ends!

YeI know mate, I was just messing. Lol. Ye you will get it cheaper but unless you buying rakes of it, you'd only really be saving a few pence
