WHY MEN DON'T WRITE ADVICE COLUMNS... Dear John, I hope you can help me? The other day, I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching TV. My car started stalling and then broke down about a mile down the road. I had to walk back to get my husband's help. When I got home, I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbor's daughter! I am 32, my husband is 34, and the Neighbor's daughter is 22. We have been married for ten years. When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that they had been having an affair for the past six months. I need advice urgently

I don't know, I don't watch birds to be honest, I just know there's English partridge up there n never saw them all together like that before so wondered what it was. I thought it was quite interesting and good to see. I'm not that interested tho to have a row about it on THL

It's confirmed, it was an unusually early partridge. It was doing my head in so I rang rspb and a lady confirmed it. She knew because the young flew away aswell. Partridge can fly at about a week old. She was well excited when I told her!

Never heard of them being there before but do they nest together in groups? Or do they have young this time of year?

That's what I thought, too early but I definitely saw them, one bigger bird in the middle with about 4 smaller ones around it. It wasn't woodcock, I'm sure of that, didn't have the beak!

Just wondering if partridge could have had young now? I know it's not usually til March/April but I went out last night and saw something in the lamp. At first I thought it was a mixi rabbit because I could see it moving but it never ran off. I nearly slipped the dog but as I got closer I noticed it was some sort of ground nesting bird with young nestled around it. I tried to get a picture but they flew off as I was getting my phone out. Just wondered what it was?

Yes mooching can relate to ferreting don't really understand your question but hope I answered itWhat I meant was if someone was just walking across fields and woods in the day/evening Do people take a ferret and a couple of nets with them and the dogs on a walk? Or are they mooching on there permission Don't confuse mooching with poaching. which ones legal? I thought they both were?

Like I said, he's been shown them all his life and he's been right with them up until pretty recent. The first time he did it was a good few weeks ago and I'm fairly confident the "bollocking" was sufficient and this time was even more severe. There's no mistaking the the dog knew he'd done wrong. But it was too late, he's already done it. Thanks joe777 I will be getting a collar for it after reading that post and giving a go. Hopefully with a collar I can prevent if from happening in the first place and teach him that way

He had a dog from the same breeding previously, and he got rid because it was a stock worrier. Most people would have twigged that there was a possibility that a pup from the same breeding would go the same way and take steps to prevent it happening. Did he? Its seems not. Some people no matter how much they love dogs should never have them. They are an accident looking for somewhere to happen, the problem is they give every other lurcher owner a bad name. Is he saluki/bull/grey by any chance?Yes mate saluki, bull grey! How did you guess!? Your avatar pic looked like it might be. I've never owned one but My son had a pit that was very high energy as a young dog and I'd imagine that that combined with a saluki temperament might need careful stock breaking. Then again, any breed of lurcher can produce a pup which takes time to get properly steady with sheep. I'd say stick at it for a while before going with the E collar.Just to let you know mate, it's not actually the one in that picture. She's fine with sheep, very occasionally she will want to

Well socks, I'm glad to say he's not as bad as that! He does listen most of the time and it's not even every time he sees one but I just don't want it happening at all. Do you think a collar is the way to go? I'm thinking I can try shocking him whilst he's chasing but before he actually connects because shouting doesn't work! I'm hoping there's at least some hope???

Taz, does it always work though that because I've heard it can make them worse? And wideboy I don't know. I obviously don't want him to but that's why I'm asking the question! Although your probably right about the heading!!!

right, my dogs 18 month old today and whilst on a walk earlier, the little tw@t thought he'd celebrate with a bit of lamb. It's the second time he's done it now and I wouldn't mind but he's seen them all through growing up as a pup and I've tried to enforce that they're a no go as much as possible. And after the first time he did it, he got a good bollocking shall we say. I'm starting to think that a remote shock collar is the only way to go now as he just will not listen whilst in chase. Is he still young enough for a collar (or any other suggestions) to put it right or am I now pissi

Ken woodacre, boneman. Definitely reccomended. Only a fiver a dog. He sorted a problem with one of mine that a vet couldn't. If he can't sort it, then go vet and it's only a fiver u've lost, better than doing it the other way round!
