  2. Bushmeat. Basically, imagine shooting a rabbit and then eating it. In African countries that seem to be strife with ebola, that's what happens, they kill fruit bats and eat them.
  3. I've heard that 7 out of 10 cases are not even reported. So that 4'000 is probably closer to 13'500 deaths. Don't forget the villages and the alike that get wiped out. We don't hear about them. Got a friend in the US that said he's heard absolutely nothing about Ebola in the US!!! My email asking how he was and whether he was visiting family or still in Dallas threw him off. Absolutely nothing at all in the news over there. Until I directed him to the Washington Post the other day. It might have been on the website, but it wasn't in the newspaper itself. It wasn't until VERY recently that
  4. Well, we've played a syndicate lottery group in the office today...kind of. With the few that have popped in their £2.00 if we win it'll be a total of £16million each. That Zebra Ranch is looking like a real possibility.

  7. For any avid readers, I'd recommend a book called The Hot Zone, by Richard....something or other. Written years ago. It was a fascinating read, horribly written, but still 100% worth reading. It's basically the history of ebola, and it's bloody scary!!!
  8. For me, I see it as being a potentially wise, but doubly dangerous course of action. The basic principle has to be "We need to go over there and stop this before it comes over to us." Which makes sense. Instead of let other people deal with it, send over what we can to contain, control, and eliminate the threat. As harsh as this sounds, the only way to make sure the disease does not come back over here, let the troops stay over there for 2 months after the disease has been eradicated. It's the only way to make sure they're safe to bring home. Once the situation has been resolved and th

  10. At least you got to watch a Jay for a while. Stunning birds. Because they're so much rarer than maggies, I tend to just leave them alone.

  12. Why do I need help? I'm normal. Everyone else is weird. I am a little curious what makes you think I need help. If it gives you any better picture of me, I don't do drugs......maybe I should....?

  14. Urm...potentially. I remember someone saying it would be easy to put an infectious disease into an aerosol and then spray it over the apples in Morrisons. Terrifying how simple it would be to properly screw the whole country. Ebola has been around for many years. One of the reasons it's never been considered a massive threat is because we don't hear about the cases of it. Usually it would appear in a small remote village in Africa. When someone gets ill, the whole village falls ill, and everyone dies. The village becomes extinct. But then nobody is left to spread the disease. Hundreds, if
  15. More than terror attacks and things like that, disease is the biggest concern for our staffing issues at the moment. We're having to look at the possibility of Ebola and how that would effect the company, not just because of the fact we work with travel insurance, but because if we have an Ebola outbreak we would not want to risk any of our staff by them gathering in a collective location. Thoughts of separated cubicles, like an isolation section have been considered, staff testing, and the alike. More than any other threat, disease is our number 1 fear as a company! Ebola has a death rate
  16. How dare he! I hope you told him what for. The bugger! Give me his number, I'll sort him out for you....now I just need to get that ferret back.......ahem.
  17. Speak for yourself Damn right! That stuff's too expensive! I just shoot up heroin into my crotch in public
  18. Almost any shop will try and do a deal. It all depends on what you consider as a bulk buy. I've been to small local stores and purchased 5 tins (2500 pellets) and gotten a couple of quid off. If you're looking at a massive amount, any store will do a discount.
  19. Iceberg (not the lettuce) would be better. Not only is it mobile and able to sink ill-fated cruise liner's thus costing the world millions in insurance, but also it's not going to smell of sulfur/rotten eggs. WILF, I do fear you have not thought this out properly.
  20. No mention of an army of ninja's yet? In total honesty, I think if you were able to get bored of things on your bucket list, you have a real issue with your imagination! Skydive while trying to drink champagne. Bungee jump while eating caviar. Buy a restaurant and cause so much of a commotion that you get kicked out or banned from your own restaurant. Get a wine named after you and open a vin yard with someone else's name just to confuse people....I buy RemyBolt 2015...from Socks's vin yard! That'd throw them off. Buy a fighter plane and fly super low by speed cameras t
  21. Yeah mate, it's weird at the moment. Go back a couple of months, I was happily bringing back 20+ a session, and having a session on Friday night and another on Saturday night. Looks like we're doing too well.
  22. A chocolate factory, Nightmares, A Live Wasp, Three left shoes for every right shoe I have...the dogs only seem to chew left shoes. I'd pay WILF £100k to get breast implants (DD, sorry mate), A geodesic dome home, McDonalds....yeah! A Happy Meal. Rain Clouds A Dinosaur Egg, Time Machine, Teleportation Device, A trip to the moon...and back! It's pretty important to get back, and, last but not least, a giraffe. Too easy! To be fair, I did win the EuroMillions, but my £2. doesn't look to be buying much at the moment. Except that Happy Meal! Anyway WILF, you're so silly. Th
  23. Don't worry about silent for now, you're in no hurry, so be quiet as possible. Take a camera with you, and take your time. Would you rather take an hour to walk the length of the field and find rabbits, or 5 minutes and find nothing?
  24. If it's that new, I'd take it back to the store and explain the issue. They'll probably just exchange it. Usually a gun takes a few few thousand pellets to be worn in, but if it's getting harder to cock, I'd take it back.
  25. Laptop wasn't letting me upload these pics yesterday. If you look along this hedge you can't really see much. The super trained eye will probably recognise a few beats here and there. But for 95% of people, it's just a hedge. Take a few steps back from the path and look as if you're only a few feet high (crouch down): you'll see things like this: This is where the rabbits have made a tunnel through the foliage. You can see how active/used a tunnel is by checking out the growth of the plants around it and figuring the age of the plants making the tunnel.
