Sorry for all the questions Only lost 2 ferrets too snakes in in last 40 years, but you do see them in summer, lose more dogs than ferrets usually in winter if they are in the burrow, they are to cold to move and in summer usually above ground. I do quite a lot of lamping just bought a new kit, my pup just turned 6 1/2 mths just waiting for her to mature before starting in the light my old dog retired this year so only been ferreting, cant wait for the pup

    Ive always liked this cross, make real tidy dogs, most people seem to like a bit if somet else in there for different qualities, they say u get more out of a lurcher if its not pure grey/whippet.

    she got plenty going on upstairs its hard to keep them occupied all the time. It is indeed - I am lucky, mine is thick as pig shit, so I can ask him to find something, and he lays down for 8 hours to ponder this unfathomable question... Lol if only it was that easy! Its not a whippet is it by any chance? My whippet is the dumbest, laziest feker known to man.

    I recently put a post about bitch being lame and since then seems like all ive done is tell her off for going hyper in the house, restrict her play outside on walks, barley walk her maybe 15-20 mins daily basically been a shit owner for her own good. Anyway ive noticed shes been a real moody bitch with me lately because im always telling her off and god damn she disobedient! Shes always gonna be my dog but she started to drift lately i can see it, only 2 more weeks on the lead and then we can start to really bond again! Just goes to show how keeping the mutts satisfied can really pay div

    Did the lurcher you lost cover your hunting requirements ?,if it did id source another of the same ilk.If it did not id re-evaluate what you need from a lurcher then decide on the type that would suit best.He was a good dog no world beater but did all I asked of him although his stubbornness was the biggest problem I had with him , that and him opening up and he wasn't entered to early or unfit he just was a mouthy sod hahaStill I had him six years and did the best with what I had , he marked well and hunted what ever I put him on although I would have liked a bit more prey drive sometimes
