  1. best thing to do is ask your flo and see if the land has all ready been passed you never no.
  2. hi lads the ase mod he is on about above is not the centrefire ones yor on about. he is on about the rimfire one. which you can take apart
  3. hi lads the ase mod he is on about above is not the centrefire ones yor on about. he is on about the rimfire one. which you can take apart
  4. cant see the point in it. it will be dangerous if anything
  5. the ase is better built and would work better on the hmr but you wouldnt tell the difference enough to make any really benfit. if i was paying £90 for a mod i would get the dm80. its nicely built and over barrel so keeps the rifle more compact. the ase mods are pretty long
  6. i cant see it changing here anytime soon. sill really a 22 centrefire will kill a roe easy enough imo.
  7. i clean mine around 200 to 250 rounds. open it up with some paper towel under it as lots of crap comes out. then wipe off what you can with some paper towel. then blast it with wd40 let it soak then wipe it off. get alittle brush in the holes and hard to reach places. watch using some cleaning stuff as the o rings will damage. coke will clean it well to believe it or not. you leave it in a bowl of coke and it gets all the stuff off. when you pop sleve back on the mod light bit of greese on the tube. then next time it will come off more easy
  8. and what would happen if you injuried it ! that is silly using a air rifle
  9. for sale my anschutz 1517 hmr heavy barrel. it comes in a right handed thumbhole stock which is brand new. the rifle has a single stage fully adjustable trigger for pull weight and overall travel, which ive adjusted to a lovely safe setting. it comes with a dm80 over barrel mod, and sak mod. 150 rounds of hmr federal ammo, 17 hmr boresnake and 30mm high sportsmatch double screw mounts. the rifle is factory 18 inch barrel and 1/2 screw cut thread. and is very accurate, the overall feel of the rifle is superb. the the bolt is very smooth and trigger a joy to use. one of the best
  10. try here mate http://www.jjkshootingsupplies.co.uk/ if there like the optilok rings i think the tikka and sako are different
  11. there is a h&s stock on the airgun bbs site for £100 mate. snap it up for your remmy
  12. yes they go into killer mode when out in the field
  13. http://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek051.html we didnt say 1000 yards we said 600 yards. there is no way a standard 243 would group under 1 inch at 600 yards. and if you or your friend done that you would be world champ. i wasnt being funny but you got your ass in your hand because i made comment on it. which got under your skin. i guess that thread on the br site is wrong. as for the caliber rifle i said in the other post i didnt say it was the best ? i just said it holded the record. im not saying you cant shoot but dont try and make out a standard rifle could shoot those groups at 600 yards
  14. dont mean to be funny mate but i would like to see that. the world record for a 5 shot group is just under a inch at 600 yards. and this is with a custom 6.5-284 which as you no is a bench rest rifle.
  15. cz for the 22lr annie for the hmr. and savage for the 223. i no of a annie with thumbhole stock, top mod, mounts and ammo for 600 of your interested
  16. i would go with what deker said. inless your having a custom barrel fitted there would be no benfit to blueprinting a action. if the barrel is being changed for a aftermarket one then yes when the barrel is off it mite be worth doing.
  17. i would get a h&s stock with alloy bedding block. no need for bedding then. or you could get the thumbhole stock that comes on the varmint barreled remmy thats looks nice. your barrel should be floated still in that stock. have you run a piece of paper up it to see where it catches ? as for trigger the jewell trigger for the remmy will be the best you can get. not cheap but wait and see how much it will improve your groups and your hit rate on foxes
  18. dont let that fool you mate the different ammo do make a difference regardless what is made at same factory. cci ammo and winchester shoot ok in my annie. the red tip honday shoots well but the federal are the best. tigher groups from them then anyother ammo in my rifle. 16 inch barrel will be fine.
  19. dicehorn knows his stuff mate. and has given me tips and my reloads are spot on now. i use varget 35.5 grains 50 grain vmax head in norma brass. col to the ogive is 1.950
  20. look at the bushnel;l elite there around the same price. and better then both imo.
  21. the fact of the matter is its fine. but if you sell the rifle on then it needs to be proofed. cutting a barrel doesnt take it out of proof but screwcutting seams to. the law is grey. the simple thing to do to stay in the law. is if you had the rifle done but didnt re proof it. you could get it chopped again and just sell it un screwcut. for the price of getting ti chopped again tho you mite as well get it proofed. as deker said alot of gunsmiths wont do it because if anything did ever happen. there insurance mite void
  22. pratice. most people have it on full mag when shooting targets. then zoom it down when shooting vermin and fox. after all there bigger targets then a 1 inch bullseye.
  23. where in the fens are you i had my done by the gunsmith who does local gun shop took it straight to him, cost me £16 in the shop it would cost double. pm me. about £70 pound but then there is the cost of proof. you dont need it if you keep the rifle. but if you sell it on your have to get it proofed.
  24. if money isnt problem then get the toyota. but for the money the trooper are hard to beat. had mine 3 years. 3.1 all ive had are some brake discs and pads on the back. soild car and very good. the 3.0 has more goodys on it but engines are know to go pop. some have had recalls or new engines. if thats the case make sure they have and there be fine
  25. superb mate. these will go anywhere. got to be the best 4x4 you can get for your dosh. good luck with the sale
