  1. the tinbum drop in kits are a good piece of kit for very little money and if you are unsure of the fit not being correct best thing to do is contact Nick and he will help in anyway he can.if you send him the spring he will make you a bespoke kit to fit your spring he does not just sell off the shelf kits.

  4. the 99 is a better gun than the 95 in my eyes apart from the cocking arm issues but i have solved that problem.i do have a mint 95 for sale anybody looking for one its £240 but mint with scope and bag
  5. i have a 95 a 99 a 97 and a 77 i have tinkered with them all and home tuned them and if sfs can justify me spending £120 on them makeing my gun any better i will take my hat off to them

  7. the reason most people turn the blade over is they are trying to get them too sharp (rubbing it too fine is what we called it).i was allways taught to rub a knife as flat to the stone as possible and then it will keep its edge longer.if you rub them at too much of an angle you create what is called a shoulder on the blade and it soon goes dull
  8. there isa bit of a knack using a stone to put an edge on a blade as bm says if you dont get it right you do more harm than good.most of the time when the edge goes offf a knife and it feels blunt all that has happened is the edge as turned over.you can even turn te edge over with a steel if not used correctly.next time you get a knife that feels a bit dull (blunt) run the blade down a hard piece of wood or a piece of plastic and you will see a massive difference in the blade.i was a slaughterman for nearly 40 years and in that game you need sharp knives.its easy to sharpen a knife keeping an e

  12. i got a a few weeks back matty and tinkered about with it now doing 11.4 with aa fields and like yours nice and smooth.theres one thing for sure matty when you get the running nice its very accurate and very easy to shoot.well done with the resto mate it looks well but i would loose the butt pad mate

  14. like you say guys this debate as been done a few times lol but my question is.why is the hw77 never brought into the debate are thy not such a good gun the new 77.i own an old mk1 77 and it,s deadly accurate and i just wonder is the newer 77 not as good because it never gets a mention
