  1. 18 foot is 3 yards with 100% bagging
  2. 18 foot is a short stop net yeh only 3 yard.whats your idea of max length for a poke net i have 4 at twelve foot that i knitted when i was learning to make nets and had no idea what a poke net was but i,m sure they would be usefull in certain areas
  3. is this butcher for real £3 to skin and gut a rabbit.and then if you try sell them to the butchers round here your lucky if you get £1.75 each and thats dressed

  6. hi random i think you just have to be patient mate but once the barbel show you will get plenty.personally i would not fish the feeder for them.if you have a pole try that or go on the waggler.never had much success on a still water on the feeder myself and as big says try the meat or cockles allways seem to work for me lol
  7. i,m interested in buying a rifle my self and keep reading about the hw95 would that be a weirauch by any chance as if i remember they were the top guns when i was younger.at the moment i got a anshutz 335 lovely little gun over 40 years old but still mint just put new spring and piston washer in.i must agree with earlier posts about spend that little extra and buy once not twice

  9. top guy nigel never bought nets from him but he was allways there when i needed advice when i started knitting my own nets and his tutorials on net makeing speak volumes.so yes i think nigels nets will be 100%
  10. apparently its not bad for long nets but never used it myself.he does bigger spools to 1.25 kilo i think for £14.95 which is good value
  11. hi airgun ant and alan 81. the diagram shown with the cross between the eyes to the forehead is bang on.i,m a slaughterman and been shooting cattle for 35 years in that exact same spot.

  13. the braided nylon is good stuff if you get the [BANNED TEXT] stuff mate.makes cracking nets imo
  14. hi pie man i,m a butcher of sorts myself mate and we use both types of the twine but the hate useing the coloured stuff mate
  15. the stuff ginger dave is useing is not the white twine as in pics pie eater put on.i make nets myself and i can get the twine dave used or the twine pie eater was thinking of for free as much as i want but prefer the trusted stuff ie spun polly or braided nylon.i would possibly try a stop net out of the stuff dave uses even a long net not purse nets.thats only my opinion guys
  16. intersting stuff there tiercel i,m just on with a 6 yard stop net.will 2mm draw cords be ok or do i need 3mm stuff
  17. hi all just joined the site.a little about myself.i got a first cross whippet bedlington she is about 13 month old yet not had a rabbitt as yet but had her first chase last week and she did really well she also marked up well.i also do a lot of river fishing and make few nets
