just a follow up to my response to another thread.not had much chance to test this air rifle yet but feck me it feels heavy after not doing much shooting for 6 months.this air gun now shoots very smooth and my mate that just shoots springers said that it indeed is very good.his words were it is not that far of his venom.so when you consider the cost of the work in comparison that is high praise indeed.anyway i put the target out at 15y as that is all i can get and put 15 shots into the target.my arm was getting fecked by now but i put another 15 shots into it and i was stuggling with the weigh

turns out they turned up at fairford this week.did not hear them come in but they are now doing laps over my house in cheltenham.nice to see something flying.

still if you shot someone with an airgun in self defence you would be locked up just as you would with a firearm/shotgun.lets face it though if someone broke into your house and all you had was lets say an air pistol you really would not want to be shot in the face with it.

nice little springers i am now on my 3rd one which has just had a vortek kit fitted/fettled by tony burton.has made a good gun very good now.

well i had another go today and the score went up to 60% so things are improving.still occasionally not pulling the action right back and getting the odd jam but deffinately getting better.had a go on the compact course and got 68% on the first round then 76% on the 2nd.fairly happy with that after only shooting the gun 4 times so far.no problems with remembering to rack the gun now.wished i had bought one years ago as it makes me smile like a big kid.have noticed though a lot of people do not like it,moaning about the noise and why would you want one of those when other types of shotgun do t

like the look of the blaser,s myself.would be tempted if i had the money.very well made as you wanted.would be a nice upgrade from my little silver pidgeon.

well i was going to upgrade to a newer specialized rock hopper but there are none to be found.shame as mine after 16 years of hard use is getting tired.will have to wait untill the new ones eventually filter back into the shops.

well the weather held this morning so i had my first go with my rem.shooting did feel natural to me with no problems doing the pump for the 2nd shot.actually really liked shooting this little shotgun just have to remember to keep swinging with that short barrel as i had the most trouble doing this.you have to be very positive with the action i found otherwise it would not chamber the next round.score was only 50% but do hope to improve with just shooting this gun.o/u is now not going to get much use untill i master this one.

after having the itch to get a pump action 12g for a while i bought one this afternoon.remington 870 express 26" synthetic.hope to have a play with it tomorrow moring if the weather holds.will just have to remember to cycle the next round ?.

it is very true you can have a lot more fun as you do not have the worries of fac power.just blasting away at spinners for example is great with no pressure of where the bullets will end up and is my gun too loud,will people complain etc.it is just point and shoot and forget nearly.also the fact that pellets are a lot cheaper so no worries about cost of lets say firing 100 rounds through my .223 at nearly a pound a shot.

well have any of you been working in what can only be described as way too fecking hot conditions at work.i work in a factory producing all sorts of parts on my little cnc m/c.monday temp was 33deg tuesday 34deg today 36deg. anyone top that ?

well after a long time of deciding on who to do the work this time agrtuning got the job.have had a lot of different people sort my springers in the past so i though i would give him a chance.never had a vortek kit so the gun was delivered.today i picked it back up.had a few goes with it at the fellas place and it does feel a lot smoother to shoot so first impressions are very good.was given the chrono report with a 10 shot string consistancy of 5fps so bloody good.power had been tweaked to 11.3ft/lbs as it was putting out 10.4 as standard i think.can not wait till my local gun club sorts out
