I first met him at the very time it was all happening...... I could be wrong here, but it wasn't so much that he just grassed these guys up, he was asked to be an expert witness.....I don't know why he agreed, I can't remember the actual circumstances of the dig......but I'm sure he may of realised he'd made a misjudged decision.
He was about 76-77 at the time.....so who knows...maybe he thought there was just too many idiots getting involved in terrier work, only he knew why.......but he shouldn't be judged by that one act, the man left an amazing legacy & how many people do you know tha
