Now there ya go, I wouldn't have had you down as a BOP kind of bloke mate, I'd have thought all those hawking days were too much f*****g about. Don't get me wrong, hawks are my favourite animals, but those hawking days can be like watching paint dry. Yeh cos fishing is non-stop action........lol lol

Fair enough mate, I misinterpreted your question lol.........mine was pinned in a ditch full of shitty water by a female.....she didn't do any damage to him.....but he ingested stagnant water.....that killed him 2 days later

I lost my first male like that after only 4 months, allowed myself to be persuaded to try it........it's a lot more satisfying to see one on one IMO & it's a lot of work to try flying a cast on your own........the thing is mate these birds get better & better as the seasons roll on, they can get so efficient...... My mate has my old male, in his 7 season now & he's super efficient at what he does, in his 3rd season with me he took 101 head! That was just mainly wkend flying & holidays........be patient mate

It's just one thing to look at.....there's vocal & there's vocal, if it's not an imprint, then regular kills can help, goshawks are vocal in the wild, but I wouldn't expect a parent reared one to scream much if killing regular

If you really can't see yourself doing much earth work, then don't make it a factor.......it's nice having an all rounder, but more realistic to concentrate on one thing

It's a tough one, constant noise is frustrating & with a female it's twice bad as a male....vocal wise, I've heard of guys keeping them in boxes in the car just to keep it down......once they get into that habit it very hard to stop, did she kill regular from initial training?

How much have you killed with this bird? A harris is always likely to be vocal, but regular kills right from the off is essential.....otherwise all their attention will go on to you, it don't matter in what way you feed them, you are still the main provider......you need to be killing on every hunt if possible
