I still think even your reality or what you perceive as insanity is subjective, but I completely get where you are coming from. University is a very expensive stepping stone onto better things, it does need to be scrutinised for sure.

Oxford/Cambridge or any other top universities offer great opportunities for young adults. They are just simply not going to match the thinking of many ordinary blokes & that may be wrong, but it is the reality of the situation & pretty much always has been. Outrage on behalf of young adults beginning their further education & trying to do something about just seems a bit short sighted.

But how would you know if they are at University? My brother went to Essex uni & LSE. My parents didn’t have a f***ing clue what was going on there, didn’t take much notice either. Once an 18/19 year old adult sees there dad foaming at the mouth about whatever they’ll just keep their mouth shut in future & crack on.

Yeah that’s great, but at what point would you pull the plug? Are we talking an evaluation of her personal development which meets your expectations at the end of every term? Could you compromise on any of those requirements if her academic results were outstanding?

They are bang on it round here. Charging points everywhere, in all the little villages etc......Tesla’s went from being a novelty two years ago to being run of the mill now. It really is Tesla town ? ....Prices will drop rapidly, which is all well a good, but where are all the electric utility vehicle’s? Affordable electric vans will be a massive goal to achieve in the next ten years.

Hardly surprising considering the amount of people Boris will have contact with. What happens after two weeks & he bumps into someone else with Covid? Maybe a rule change? It’s conceivable he could yo yo in & out of quarantine for months by following the rules. It’s not like he’s got anything important to do, is it? ?

I took my dad hawking over ferrets a few times. Harris hawk & goshawk flights, but he just didn’t get it, as in rabbits getting away! He actually said to me once “yeah we’ll go again tomorrow, but with nets instead.....” wtf? ?

I despair of it, I really do. You hit the nail on the head with the over simplification of the left/right, which is currently fuelled by a never ending stream of confirmation bias utube videos. But It seems people are falling for it, hook line & sinker unfortunately
