  1. It's called prey drive Some dogs have it in buckets, where as some are just eager to please and there's a massive difference Gameness doesn't come into it so much. If a 60lb lurcher has the drive to course and catch a 17lb fox then it doesn't need to be 'game' in a bulldog sense, because it'll likely have it dead quick before it takes too much punishment Prey drive is NOT aggression either
  2. This is likely your issue - amoxicillin are not a cure all and need to be given over an extended period of time
  3. How did you know these fellas to give your dogs to them? Any other details you have for them? Where you dropped the dogs to? Telephone numbers? Who you know they know? Pm if preferred - guys At work need to find people sometimes so I could maybe slip these in there too
  4. That Belle has got to be where to start surely? Hasn't she bred 3 of the very top dogs about now?
  5. They look smart. Although, why wouldn't you just buy the bigger one and let all of your dogs on it ? Can some be too long or something, or is it just cost?
  6. I think someone quoted the whole "Dangerously out of control" act on here a while ago anyway, and it only applies in relation to humans. Accidents are accidents. No harm in the man seeing the silver lining in what was obviously a very traumatic time for the bull x owner.
  7. I know it don't really matter, but that's gorgeous
  8. I'm likely wrong, but I've always understood pork and tomatoes to be no good for dogs
  9. Dunno specifically about penicillin but stuff for the same job will be available from rxcart or alldaychemist I use fish antibiotics - exactly the same chemical makeup
  10. If you know that they're both well bred then why not go for the one whose parents you prefer ?
  11. Hope your bitch is back at them soon bryan, WMYes she's doing ok, she has shocked the vet with her determination to just get on with it, they stitched her pectoral muscle together in four layers, no bruising yet and she is walking about still expecting to come out for walks. Thank you WM. If that busher ever gets put over your runner then I'll take one I have a pat myself, but it's an entirely different breed of dog to yours and is for a different job He's not a favourite of folk on here because of his size but he does a great job for us. f**k'em He keeps the man, who keeps the dog

  13. A Scottie or even a westie They're actually both well put together animals
  14. To be fair to the man, I think this dog will work out fine. Because he gives a shit. He's asking for advise in the lurcher section. Not putting a different type of post in the working dogs and livestock section, like some might
  15. Re forge the bond you have and start again with recall training and beef jerky.
  16. Basenji wouldn't be great for mooching I don't imagine - they can't bark ! And if you mean those African Painted Dogs then that's quite interesting actually - they reckon they separated from Canis Lupus after the fox so POTENTIALLY could be bred to a domestic dog but they're not 100% as no one has ever tried if I remember rightly No I wasnt on about the painted dog, I watched a program on the sentanal tribe of africa and on there it showed them hunting with there dogs they looked very much like the basengi but called them sentanal hounds excuse the spelling the program was very intere
