hope this post helps with anybody who takes a saluki x on. my saluki first x landed at my door with a £50 price tag. woud"nt listen to a command he was told,thought off the lead meant see you later mate. some tuff love later he now works to hand signals and every catch is a joy. i never liked saluki x because i thought they were slip them off the lead lurchers. this dog has now been with me for 5 years. works the cover,hunts on his own and is a true one man dog. give a dog a bad name is rife in our chosen field. i"m no top notch dog trainer,but i work my dog single handed and we both love out

some interesting x on here lads. i've always bought what was available when i needed a lurcher, was never a dog peddler or breeder. this lab x keeps on cropping up and in my old age ( and drunk moments ) i might just breed that x .so if you see a pensioner walking near the bonny bonny banks with 2 black heavy lurchers just humour me,i am a old time poacher with a glint in his eye and a bag full of game. oh! and a fishing rod to plead innocent to farmers. keep the faith and walk the walk.

before salukis became the fashion collie x was always the x lurcher men looked for. back in the 70s our only way to find lurchers was the exchange @ mart, you could get a trial back then.[ f@@k me i am old] hancock took the collie x on and was good at it. collie first x are decent lurchers. people now want a lurcher from superdog x superbitch. give me a lurcher who listens and catches the odd bit off game and im happy. bought a first x years ago, picked my pal up and off we went in the van for a chase, never got into 3rd gear and the collie x knocked f@@k out of my pals lurcher in the back of

good pictures nice pup. only you will know if your bull x has any probs with kids.but in my experience lurchers are great with kids any lurcher any x especially if brought up in the house. dont worry if your kid suddenly cries when left alone with your lurcher its probably stolen his sweeties

what a brilliant post this is plenty of good answers and discussions. update on my own field trial 14 month old lab,(wife bought this as a pet,and i work lurchers so exercise is out with the lurcher lol ) this lab runs all day and jumps just about anything. could find a needle in a haystack with his nose. eager to please and is a natural at retreiving. yes any first x will be heavy but i bet first x bulls throw a lot of heavy pups. will post some picks this weekend. oh before i forget he is also a good watchdog and serious about harming anybody who lays a hand on the wife. this is the first la
