i too use salt blocks with my horses and ferrets i think the danger of a salt overdose is with hidden salt, IE you don't taste it. i don't think its common never heard of anyone with a ferret that had this. i could see how the fish thing would work because the smell/taste of fish would over power the salt. small amounts wont do any harm in fact i think if they didn't have any natural salt in there diet they would suffer cramps much the same as we do. i am interested to see if there is any truth behind the sardine story ? if it didn't kill them it might fill them up so they go

cant be that well loved if he wont take it to the vet or hand it in at a rescue then put it to sleep humanly stop its suffering. only a vet can tell him whats wrong

found it Salt poisoning – Salt poisoning can occur when regularly feeding your ferret on a diet that contains naturally high salt levels, fish in brime, ham, bacon, cured meats and many human foods such as crisps and chips. Clinical signs include the animal becoming, depressed and developing spasms within 24 hours to 96 hours of having eaten the salty diet. Death usually follows shortly after. If your ferret is showing signs of salt poisoning remove all traces of the salty food and provide plenty of fresh clean water. Think before giving your ferret any treats that may con

That lovely "ADMIN" word that companys use! I can beat that, to change my address for correspondance to be delivered £45! Thats from my bank. Anyways, Lamp+Battery i would not be surprised if your insurance does go up. It seems to me they haven't a clue what their talking about. Thats why they ask that specific question when taking out insurance. sound about right in the small print on your policie somewhere there will be a note about charges applied for different reasons IE 25 quid for a letter regarding late payment that sort of thing. afraid its legal. doesn't

don't know about the 25 quid thing but i know that you premium will go up next year ask what its for i changed insurance company last week and the woman i spoke to kept telling me i paid in arrears and that i would owe another month if i canceled, after trying to explain that my renewal date was the 3 rd may and that i owed them noting, i asked to speak to her manager and she said no you pay in advance which i knew already they don't always know what they are on about phone back and ask again.

if he doesn't have a cat himself then it doesn't matter as long as he keeps the dog under control IE when not in his garden on a lead in the street, mine are never of the lead in our street mostly because i would never forgive myself if one got hit by a car chasing a something. at the end of the day accidents do happen but as long as you have done all you can to prevent them then you have covered your back. obviously it make life simpler if your dog is broken to cats less head aces for everyone, if its that much of a concern for him then get a pup get it used to lots of friendly cats tha

mine are fine with my cats but will chase another if it comes in to our garden here is a pic of our ex racing greyhound (now used for ferreting and lamping)

the terrier and the lurcher are not equal there is a pecking order and hight can some times be the problem because the lurcher is taller the terrier see it as dominance I'm not explaining my self very well. have you ever seen a dog stand over another or push its chest against one while holding its head above the others back this is all about dominance. it could be that the terrier is smaller its felling intimated or just challenging the lurcher for its steep on the ladder . in a balanced pack the pecking order will change with circumstances IE illness, old age etc. i have found that bit -
