I think you'll find it is Law. Otherwise they couldn't fine you.

Yep but you are allowed to go out for one form of exercise each day. Are they going to stop you driving into the countryside for a walk if you live close by? Everyone going to the countryside could be a problem just as everyone walking down the road could be a problem but if you live close by? I'm literally within 20 mins walking distance although I would drive just to go to a little further to better spot / avoid meeting anyone walking. There has to be some sense to this. Crowding streets with people is just as bad as crowding the countryside and activities like shooting and fishing are both

It's all a bit stupid if you ask me and poorly thought through. You can walk on an urban street or go to an urban park for exercise where there's a good chance of being in close proximity if someone walks past you in the street, but you can't shoot over private land in the middle of no-where completely alone. You also can't go out fishing - if you dig or make your own bait and buy a ticket online, then no reason against it that I can see Fishermen stay apart because they like their own "swim" (spot) full of fish. Owners can control the number of tickets sold and if restricting tickets to

Isn't she supposed to do the blowing?

She had a terrible gash so I tried one of those wound suturing kits on mine. Thought she'd survive the needle and thread but the she died. Left feeling a bit deflated.

Just a note, you're supposed to put Regain on your scalp. It's no wonder you need that hat. On a serious note, it might be worth phoning the doctor. Although it usually clears, the crystals can cause joint damage if left for an extended period of time without anti-inflammatory treatment. Just depends how fast it clears. Also, be aware if you get the flu, don't take anti-inflammatory drugs. With a disclaimer I'm not a doctor, the latest I've read on Corona appears to suggest the survival rate of persons taking anti-inflammatory drugs, even Iburporfen, Apsirin etc is much lower.

Yeah I'm not getting my sausage out in Leeds.

Stupid. No-one can stockpile 18 months worth of stuff or avoid leaving the house for that long if of working age. The answer is to shop normally, keep a distance from others and protect yourself when out as best you can. If you're lucky enough to have NBC Kit wear it. Don't worry about looking a prat. As for everyone else, do the best you can. I ordered a delivery today. Still ahd to go out shopping as 1/2 of it was out of stock despite amending the order 4 times prior to dispatch to keep up with demand. Stupid thing was, once more, I was the only person out with mask and gloves. As for s

Exactly correct.

I calculated millions weeks ago. I was more afraid when they were lying. That's when you know they haven't got a clue what to do. I still believe they're being economical with the truth as I still believe the college's modelling whilst probably correct on the figures the Government has supplied, is coming out way low by almost a factor of 10, probably down to the Government estimating 50,000 infections without any data or evidence of how far along these invisible people are. Answer here is never trust the Government, and I'm NOT a conspiracy theorist although you wouldn't know it at the moment

People have probably looked at Preppers / Survival channels. The one thing they tell you to get above all else is toilet roll because it's the one thing there is no substitute for. I guess Grandma would say news paper but when the sh*t hits the fan, I'm guessing you won't be going out for a newspaper. You'll be too busy cleaning up with all those products you hoarded! ? I'm actually the opposite. I believe the panic is being caused because the Government is hiding the seriousness of the situation and being economical with the truth. People are seeing through it. eg. The UK Government a

Hey, toilet rolls are worth a lot these days. Apparently some are selling for £80 on ebay. I have 96 (4 packs) because I keep an emergency winter supply along with some food (bought well before the virus). I keep thinking I should sell some. But then, if I couldn't replace them it could be a bit sh*t in the current situation. Even more so if I had to buy the same ones back for more money!

Only issue is there doesn't appear to be licensing cover. However, I agree, without reading the terms and conditions (ie beware the small print), looks on the face of it like a good policy for general liability, personal injury, criminal defence and dog insurance.

I'm going to withdraw my recent recommendation to other forum members that you consider joining the BASC when needing shooting insurance and suggest you look at alternatives where insurance cover is needed for Legal Representation. I received a renewal letter today, not that I was going to renew, as I'm not actively shooting atm. The horrifying issue with the letter is apart from the £80 membership fee, up from around £30ish only a couple of years ago (it actually rose a couple of years ago in fairness, not that I believe it's justifiable), is that the new BASC Insurance Policy has an Ex

Where have I heard that before?

Loving that stock Phil. That's the grade every gun should be fitted with.

There are times when you wish you really had Corona, reading this was one of them!

Nice stock. Not sure the barrel matches although it looks expensive and would look great on the right stock. Whoever, configured that rifle had some money.

Sgc and required gp letter/merseyside police
Alsone replied to McKay's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Plod can do what they like, they are the Police. They police the Laws. It's the old tale, who Polices the Police? No private organisation, shooting or not, can tell them what to do. Only the Courts can ultimately tell them or the Government through Legislation. Everything is stacked in their favour if they want to be biased or impart their own requirements. The "Law" here is guidelines and legally guidelines can be departed from as they're just guidelines and not binding. That doesn't mean they might not have to justify why they departed, but ultimately, it's open for them to depart. Ther -
This shows the real side to foxes that urban conservationists like to ignore. If it takes food from your hand at the back door then it's a lap dog. Obviously, this is one of those ones that was told to self isolate. Just a pity the lamb succumbed to it. What is it the Government says, like lambs to the slaughter?

That's what I call a stock. Just keep it out of the fire next time.

Sgc and required gp letter/merseyside police
Alsone replied to McKay's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
It was the BASC that told me to refuse to supply my records amongst other unreasonably demanded items. It was 20 years ago now so can't comment on the current Firearms advisory team, but the guy I had was very very helpful and I literally got hundreds of hours of help including letters, faxes and discussions between them and the local plod. -

I wouldn't say they wouldn't accept them, they asked for mine (!), (and didn't get them), but agree you never want to give the police your medical records. Apart from your medical privacy from every condition you may have suffered, it's an invitation for them to troll every entry looking for an excuse as to why you're not suitable. As Meece said as quoted above, they're not medically qualified. It's for a doctor to weigh up and decide what entries, if any, are relevant to your suitability to hold a firearm. They know what conditions are relevant and whether an old entry is still relevant. The -
You can kill deer with .50 cal air rifles. There are several that have 800 ft lbs with a pellet of over 225grs and some that fire pellets approaching 300gr in weight. Unfortunately they wouldn't be legal over here due to their energy. Also, seem a bit pointless in the UK given they're regulated as firearms. However, I believe in the USA in most states, air rifles don't constitute firearms irrespective of their output which means they are unlicensed. It's not hard to see the attractiveness of a .50 cal with 800ft lbs without a licence.
