  1. Means next to nothing imo. Lawrence Okolie would knock any heavyweight over if he landed flush.., and I'd guess anyone who spars enough rounds will get caught the odd time. I know it means nothing, but people are saying Fury is chinny,Joshua Rumoured to have been kod by Price,Price then confirmed it and now rumours Joshua been dropped off an amateur. Seems Joshua been down a few times as well as Fury .
  2. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/anthony-joshua-koed-by-lawrence-okolie-in-sparring.575830/ Joshua allegedly dropped heavily in sparring by amateur last year, reason fight with Price didn't happen. ???
  3. Thing is were all getting all nostalgic and hung up on an all British fight between two unbeaten World Chanpions and clamouring to see a Joshua v Fury fight but truth be told by the time Fury is ready to actually be in a position to fight Joshua your talking a realistic minimum 18 month-2 years and chances are Joshua may not still be unbeaten by then or even still fighting.18 month-2 years is a long time in boxing and the fight between them needs to happen now and not so far down the road but it wont happen now and that's if Fury does even fight again .
  4. I think it's better to go down from a wlad right hand than one from Steve Cunningham. Fury won't be back. Yeah watch it again look how square on fury is you plonker plus didn't really bother him did it was more concerned about pulling his shorts up ffs Tyson was without Peter Fury in his corner that fight also iirc.
  5. Fury did have the tools and the style to beat Joshua and as much as I'd like to see the fight happen if it did come off would Fury be able to get back to the level he was at ? I'm of the mind now like others have mentioned that Fury might not be back at all.As for Fury beating a poor Klitschko it was Furys style and gameplan that maked Klitschko look so bad, against straight ahead fighters he shines like against Joshua. The fact an inexperienced Joshua had to go life and death with Klitschko to get the win clearly shows that Furys tactics/gameplan was spot on the night he fought Klitschko. Let'
  6. I've always suffered with nose bleeds and more so as a kid,I had an inhaler as the Doctor said it was Hayfever that was causing them. Young Daughter suffers with them just the same. I tried to have my nose cauterised when I started boxing but they wouldn't do it for some reason.
  7. I honestly think the success and wealth he had in his career and then winning the World title has made him take his eye off the ball and he's just wanting to play about. If he's going to fight again he needs to get focussed and motivated again. Like him or not it would be a shame not to see him back in the ring again competing, all he has to do is get himself right and think of the money he would make in an all British showdown of unbeaten Heavyweights with Joshua as well as the bragging rights for the winner.

    Larry Holmes

It sounded like a gunshot when he dropped Holmes,I wonder what Shavers thought when he got up ? Refs don't let fights get like that nowadays and they went at it for 15 rounds back then. I think all World title fights should still be 15 rounds .
  10. Holmes was a great boxer with unbelievable powers of recovery, refs seeemed to let the fighters sort themselves out back then. I don't think Holmes got all the credit he deserves.
  11. iirc Moyes has had his moments Preston promoted, qualified for Champions League with Everton and a Final appearance in one of the cups. Then 10 month at MUTD and sacked, less than a year at Real Sociedad in La Liga and sacked.Next manager of Sunderland and they were then relegated, like I said what were the Sunderland management thinking appointing him in first place ! Plenty of fans already saying they wont be renewing season tickets if hes still at the helm along with countless other fans who never wanted him there in the first place. Only people glad to see him at Sunderland are the Newcastle
  12. The Truth Movement about the 911 caper fronted by a Professor who has wrote a few books on the subject is causing the powers that be problems.Loads of Architects,Engineers,Fireman etc speaking out now. A good few anomalies are still aching to be asked like Why did tower 3 collapse untouched and why did the CNN reporter announce its collapse on tv when it was clearly still standing. There is other stuff like the phonecalls which even to this day could not be made from the elevation the plane was allegedy flying at,this was funnily enough missing from the inquest. A lot of questions still unanswe
  13. Cant see us coming straight back up under Moyes, negative football is just that negative football. The management at Sunderland have a lot to answer for, giving Moyes the job with his excellent record after leaving Everton.Did they expect any different from him this season ? lol They should have known when a few games into the season he said that we were already in a relegation battle . Toon done well and its back in the big league for them, just see if they can hold on to Rafa now !
  14. GGG will have to ko him to win he cant leave it to the judges, they wont chance a ppv star like Canelo getting beat if they can help it. Khan should have been well up before he was kod when he fought Canelo but was behind on the cards,Teddy Atlas commented that it was a joke the scoring for that fight.Good to see the fight is on after all the crap spouted from De la Hoya over this match up .Last night was another of Canelos catch weight fights and Chavez clearly looked weight drained, hopefully GGG is fighting Canelo at the correct weight and not at a catchweight .
  15. A few big lads here http://boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=186990 never came to much but what a size some of them. Size of the hands on some of them.
  16. Anyway on a different note im looking forward to this Canello/Chavez Jnr match up at the weekend i love watching an all Mexican tear up.....the ol man Chavez of the ,s that beat Mayweather/Rosario/Taylor etc was one of the greatest fighters i ever watched the son shows glimpses of him but different type of fighter....i think Canello will beat him quite comfortably to be honest. The great Julio Cesar Chavez, something like 89 and 0 before his first loss,a true Mexican great. Canelo should beat jnr quite comfortable and its another catchweight fight with big penalty weight clause iirc like m
  17. I agree with what you have said apart from l like Fury as a boxer and I pick him to be the winner.I will put my head on the block now, and the fight needs to happen sooner rather than later before Joshua gets much more experience and Fury needs to be at the level he was at for the Wlad fight but the fight with Joshua and Fury will be like Benn v Watson. The big puncher against the awkward boxer,Joshua to have his moments but Fury to stop him late after keeping him busy for every round. All dependent of course on how and if there fight does indeed come off.
  18. Bird we both have differing views of the Fury/Klitschko fight and I agree it was good/exciting to watch Joshua go back and forth and at one point on the edge of defeat to Klitschko then rally and stop him and every body loves a tear up but it is boxing and I still give credit to Fury for the way he beat Klitschko,he did what he had to and got the win boring or not its boxing. Joshua has a good team around him and there all seasoned at there job, this is the one thing that Fury is lacking and could be the root of his problems/complacency. Fury has done well in his career and even better if y
  19. Gnash I said a good few Heavyweights around the size of Fury now not others at 6' 9".Some fighters as you know Gnash have buckets of god given Talent and never get a World Title,Bomber Graham springs to mind. Its like when there are lads in gyms who are awesome but never produce it in the ring when it counts and others who don't look anything In the gym but can really turn it on when it comes to fight time when it matters. Fury and Joshua are miles apart in terms of them fighting let alone a fight between them even taking place and look at the interest alone already being drumme
  20. Wilder has got a devastating straight right hand if nothing else. Its worked well in his last couple of fights.
  21. Trouble is there is not to many pure punchers about at Heavyweight,Joshua is certainly one and even though Wilder has a huge list of kos on his record he needs to windmill to generate power where as Joshua seems to have the knack of knocking people over with a variety of shots from varying distance and with both hands.Joshua and Fury has to happen even just to see how the fight pans out .
  22. Never seen it tbh but id imagine it to be dreadful,a parents worst nightmare, sitting watching it and putting yourself in the shoes of his parents/family and friends..I will have to watch it lads.Bit off topic and not real life but Where The Red Fern Grows is the film to get the tears running,I still watch it now trying to hide my face from the Mrs and kids.
  23. Furys crap and its just his size and he has nothing else ??? A good few fighters these days are around the size of Fury but they have never been undisputed Champion. So being 6'9" automatically qualifies a fighter to be undisputed Champion ? lol Fury can box, move, mix it,get up off the floor, and is good enough to dethrone the reigning undisputed Champion in his own back yard. He may not be a big puncher and sometimes his tactics not fan friendly but his shots keep the opposing fighters attention and hes stopped plenty fighters as a pro.Joshua and Fury are both British but two different types o
  24. Hearn already trying to swerve Ortiz and Pulev off the back off Joshuas momentum and popularity. No suprises there from Hearn but I thought they would have fancied the fight with Pulev. I agree Gnash and I said earlier on in this thread even though Joshua is World Champion a few lesser opponents is whats needed before going after the other belt holders,he may beat the others now but a bit more experience will do him good.
  25. Gnash I think Wlad was more respectful of Joshuas power than when he fought Fury. I agree maybe his best days are behind him,hes aged yes but still able to compete with any of the main Heavyweights available and also capable of another go at Joshua Cushty Not trying to prove anything or compare Fury to Pulev. Somebody mentioned Fury kept away from Wlad and threw 5 or 6 punches all fight so I put up a clip of the fight showing otherwise. I also said I thought the best Wlad looked in years was when he fought the unbeaten pulev so put a clip
