When you say a lot of scabs do you mean old wounds or is the dog itchy at all. If the dog is scratching it might be a skin problem such as mange ect

Ive had the same thing happen Shep It has made my bitch fear agressive with other dogs. I never go out now without my stick , I always wear some strong boots as well so I can get a good kick in if needed
