A Foreign legionnaire is sent to his desert posting, for a 2 year stint. When he arrives, the CO tells him "There are no women anywhere nearby, so you will have to make use of the camels !" After 3 months he can stand it no longer, and sneaks off in the night to the camel enclosure, and fulfills his manly urge. The following morning, he is called to the CO who wants to know what he was doing there. The legionnaire says "You told me that I should make use of the camels, sir." The CO says "I did - but most of us ride them into town !"

Terrarium TV has almost everything that's ever been on TV last and present, and 1000s of films, new and old.......and its free ! There's no sport, but if it's for the good lady, thats probably not an issue ?

If you'd said that the Queen should have invested in British concerns, I would have agreed with ! If you feel that the monarchy represents the worst excesses of the class system, maybe you'd have a point, certainly one open to debate. But you do your arguments no favours, and you'll lose a lot of the room, when you resort to calling the Queen silly names, that all I was getting at. But, to repeat myself, if a system exists whereby you can gain a LEGAL financial advantage, wouldn't you be a fool not to use it ? Anyone here self-employed ? Employing the services of an accountant ? Do you do so in the hope that he or she will ensure that your tax liabilities will be kept to an absolute minimum ? That's all these people have done - they just have other avenues open to them, that aren't available to you or I.......... Whether it's tax avoidance, benefit scrounging, private education or whatever you object to, the fault lies with the existence of a faulty system, not those who take advantage of it !

So, you've written the story of our life, with all its hilarious anecdotes and fascinating adventures.......or otherwise ! Now, what are you going to call it ? How would you sum up your life in the few words of a book title ? How would you sum up your experiences in a catchy phrase ? I have a cavalier love of making it up as I go along, while pretending that I have plan, so I'd call mine..... "Yeah, but what's the worst that can happen ?" What would yours be ?

Tax avoidance and tax evasion are two very different things........ An example - I'll bet many here cheered on Lewis Hamilton recently. Lewis Hamilton who resides in Monaco - tax contribution from Stevenage's most famous son ? ZERO ! But ask yourself this - if any of us was of substantial wealth, wouldn't we do all we could to hold onto as much of it as possible ? If a system exists by which you can legally benefit, wouldn't you be a fool not to take advantage of it ? Wouldn't you ?

Where are all the ads so many are moaning about ? I get a headline ad (usually for something the good lady is trying to buy on the QT !), but that's it ! Edited - and I've just very one at the very bottom of the page.......

Can't wait til my grandkids are old enough to be them out and about, away from all their parent's "I'm very disappointed in you, now sit on the step and think about what you've done" bollox ! Looking forward to getting them away from the telly and teaching them what real fun is ! Get 'em out, let 'em run free, bring 'em home tired and they'll sleep with a smile on their face !

Well, you haven't stopped US from viewing it, and I'm starting to find the image disturbing ! In fact, it's bordering on offensive ! I'm off to my quiet place, where I don't have to think about such horrid things. I'll probably have nightmares and wouldn't be surprised if I need counselling to get over the trauma........

The EU will carry on without us, for sure, but how will our leaving affect them ? I'm no expert, but won't the remaining members have to make up the shortfall, once our contributions stop - the likes of Greece and Portugal are already being heavily propped up, so those left in will have to pay in more to support them ? And surely the lower end of the EU financial spectrum aren't in a position to put their hands deeper into their own pockets ?
