    A friend of a friend lost his ticket, when he was done for drink driving - FEO told him it demonstrated "a high level of irresponsibility and a lack of respect for the law"..........and its hard to argue with that, really !

    I think this liberal nonsense reached its height when the Tom Hanks film "Captain Phillips" was released.........(and bear in mind it's a true story, about the hijacking of a cargo ship, off the east coast of Africa.) There was quite a vocal campaign against the fact that all the Somali pirates in the film were portrayed by black actors ! If there are people who think that is a coherent, sane viewpoint, we really are f***ed !

    I happened to see EastEnders last night..........something I usually studiously avoid ! Apart from a selection of dreary people, shouting rather too much, a supposedly regular East London street has 5 black and 2 Asian characters........... come on, BBC, where's the realism ? That aside, I have no objection to black or mixed race people on TV per se, but it's being pushed to the point that it's contrived...............which I think was Walshie's original point...........so I'll shut up now.

    Human experiments are very tightly controlled - experimentation is a no no ! It's about trying to find a breakthrough, using a 'simpler' brain than ours. It may be that a very basic treatment/surgery/gene therapy, whatever, can be developed which can later be extrapolated to humans..........think of it as a first baby step, which might be able to be built on, and lead to something much bigger ?........ ......I think - and I've got no idea where I got "extrapolated" from, at this time of night !

    This was covered on my local news...... It was done as part of research into degenerative brain diseases. This experiment seems to confirm that sheep have facial recognition abilities similar to primates (us !), so if a sheep's abilities can be improved, that may lead to a human breakthrough......in a nutshell !
