  1. Welcome mate, hope you contribute alot to the site, and learn some of the younger generation exactly how it's done.........nice to have you on board
  2. Welcome..................
  3. i would suggest a good .17 hmr cz are excellent for the money, then purchase a good secondhand centrefire, for the range of vermin your looking to shoot including deer i would strongly suggest two rifles. As for the little .17 in wind it will effect the .22lr every bit as much people tend to give the hmr a bit of a dig because the round is so little nonsense. all you need to do is keep the ranges sensible in strong winds like any rifle even centrefire.
  4. Tam i think you should find out about the in's and out's of reloading and just exactly what it entails, From your own safety point of view. So buy a good book and start reading.........it's the only way to pick things up, and getting some-one who know's what their at to show you how it's done.
  5. i know why he's got a face like that, his dad only gave him the gun for the photograph, then he shoot's the gun himself the rest of the day......

  10. I'm not being funny here mate but i think you should get yourself a good book and read it. something like the ABC's of reloading is good. Brass can be reloaded many times, And there are lots of factors which lead to the brass being of no use, look for signs of case damage such as loose primer pockets, split necks etc give your brass a good check over for any signs that lead you to think that it may have to be discarded.
  11. one press, most accept the 7/8 x 14 thread on the die but some presses have a 11/4 x 12 thread nearly all are 7/8 so nothing to worry about. use the dies to do all your brass say neck size and decap the primer, do all the cases at one sitting, then change to the bullet seating die and seat all the bullets, job done.
  12. you only need one press so, unlees you go for a good turret press stay away from them and go with a single stage press, and put the money into a good set of dies like redding or the likes, lee dies will do if your straped for cash till you find your feet.
  13. Have a root around in here mate you should find what you need............. http://www.sportsmanguncentre.co.uk/produc...TM/pagestart/0/
  14. As above all info is correct, just to add i see you went with my reloading data i gave you hope it's working well for ye. seems to be. Neck sizing will work for you but if you find the cases hard to extract from the breach then they will need a run on the full length sizing die. have fun.
  15. well here we go you need scales weather they be digital or manual, primer pocket cleaner, vernier callipers to measure over cartridge length etc. a case tumbler to clean your fired cases. A neck sizing die, full length sizing die, and a bullet seating die, hand primer, deburring tool for the case necks, corn curnels for your tumbler, powder trickler, reloading data, from good sources like the lee modern reloading, or the hornady handbook of cartridge reloading, or the complete reloading manual for youe selected calibre, bullet puller if you find you make alot of mistakes, good cases likw wi
  16. i agree with the two gun approach, also. either .17 hmr or .22lr and a .243 for the simple reason that you can take any species of deer plus fox. keep your options open if you know what i mean.
  17. there's nohing like a little bit of light hearted shooting to cheer a man up, by the way at first glance it looks as if you've been shooting pokemon........ nice one ye mad fecker....................
  18. Yes prision should be hard no doubt.................chain gangs, the works hard labour, Would stop the scum reoffending to get back in as they have no life outside of prision...................
  19. i prefer to hang my venison ina chill room, temp from 4 to 7 degree's for a week if red or about 4 days to a week if fallow.......... however if you tend to hang in shed 3 days max as i would be scared the carcass would turn in the heat......
  20. First things first, do you know your bullet drops for the ranges you are sgooting at, what way the wind effects the bullet at different ranges. If the ansewer is No then STOP. Time spent on the range will bring you confidence back, If shooting a .22 lr for instance shoot at fifty yards until you feel you can hit the point you were aiming for, then proceed to 75 yards same thing look at the drop of the bullet then reach out until you find the accuracy going to pot or you can safely take the shot at say a 120 yard rabbit. Then when you enter the field you will know roughly were the bullet wi
  21. You THINK i'm SMALL, you want'a see me todger, it fooking freezing outside
  22. Any medicine ending in azole is a white drench oral medicine, parazole, oxfenbendazole, albendazole triclabendazole, etc are mainly for the treatment of round worms etc. for lung worm the only really good dose in cattle in sheepthat seems to work well is levamazole [spelling] for severe infection to clear the problem up levacide is mainly used, in cattle the dose is 1ml/ 10kg however i don't know how this would effect a dog. So ask a vet for advice. the only solution is to switch medicine so the animal does not become immune, at intervals recommended by your vet. hope you get sor
