  1. hi steve... i would like to say you would get one, but i doubt it very much as they do look on experience with using a rimfire ect, how many rounds have been shot, where theyve been shot.... what sort of land you have, where the back stops are, if any. all you can do is try.. but personally, as i did myself, i joined a rifle club & gain experience for them to see, put 1000`s of round down range & after 6 months of been a probationary member i appleid for my FAC & got it with no probs, after a few months i asked for the slot for a moderator & expandable ammo "

  4. dont take this the wrong way, but have you let someone else try shooting it ? also what conditions did you test it in ? free hand, bench rest ? failing that, i aint got a clue then ! one thing, ive never rated those basic rugers, best going for a heavy barrel..
  5. i have 2 ruger 10/22T & there bang-on... the only problem i had with one of them was the accuracy which turned out to be the barrel, i bought one of them 2nd hand of a bloke that chopped the barrel down to 14" & screw cut... i was getting 2" groups bench resting at 25yards " no wonder he sold it " :wankerzo4: ! ... anyway, as soon as i got it screw cut & re-crowned it was shot through the same hole each time whilst bench resting.. is yours a T model or the basic model ? also have you tested the rifle to see if any thing is loose ? barrel, stock , moderator ???
  6. whats the condition of the crown like..... ?
  7. are these any good for 17hmr, pro`s & cons please.... & what are they worth ? thanks..

  9. I have a single shot hushpower bakel 410 and I use 3"magums size 6 sub sonics find these spot on for rabbits, very quiet, Will be looking at a Mossberg in a couple of weeks time price new £470 compared to the single shot their chalk & cheese... i use to have a single shot pedretti hushpower, good little gun that was bang-on, but after the shot was taken, it was a bollock ache to get the cart out by hand as it slightly expands after the shot, you cant go wrong with a 3 shot mossy as the extra shots are handy, i can cycle mine nearly as fast as a semi...
  10. i use either, lyalvale 3" 16gms or eley 3" magnums subs...
  11. you can pick one up for £270 / £300 .... perfect for ratting or rabbitting, especially as their quiet when using subs... there was one for sale recently on bbs..
  12. i have one in synthetic, well built & a good work horse, never had a jam.....
  13. i dont want to be responsible for you damaging your scope, but as i said, it looks like a locking ring to me, others might think different... i would just "gently but firmly" turn the rear housing anti clockwise to see if it unscrews, but whilst doing this i would make sure the what looks like a locking ring stayed still.. failing that, take it to your local shooting shop & ask their advice. disclaimer: you try this at your own risk.
  14. cant really see much from that picture... have a close look on yours at the very end, check if it has an adjuster that looks like part of the scope, also does it have what looks like a ring just before the zoom ring ? probably be easier if you posted a picture of your unit..
  15. top job steve ! youll have to keep us updated on how you get on with it.....
  16. have a look in the instructions if it has a focusable eye relief, it must have, ive never owned a scope that doesnt have one... ive just got hold of a new scope yesterday & the eye relief was solid, a bit of gentle pursuation & it came free... do you have a link to the scope on a site ?
  17. do you have any pictures of them ?
  18. depending what scope you have, you should be able to adjust the rear " eye ball / eye piece ", it should have a ring in front of it that you loosen so that you can adjust the focus to suit your eye, then you can tighten the ring up again to hold the eye piece in place... what scope is it ?
